Had several appointments at the surgery - one very urgent one, a couple of on-the-day appointments, and a planned one to have the contraceptive implant. Have had blood tests taken by the nurse a couple of times.
Booking appointments: never had a problem with booking on the day for urgent care, I have called at 8 am and had to try a few times each time but always get through. The receptionists are very friendly and sympathetic (this is so nice when you feel rotten) - they manage to be efficient and clear while keeping the human touch.
Waiting times: I have always had to wait in the waiting room on my appointments, often for quite a long time. I understand this isn't the fault of the surgery (it's hard to know how long an appointment will take and they're under pressure to meet targets). It would be great though to have a board up showing current waiting times, or to know roughly how long delay will be when you get there.
Doctors: all have been wonderful - professional, kind and very caring. I've felt fully informed and listened to, and that they really did care. Kind words when you're hurting are invaluable, it's easy to think you're bothering people but they made me feel comfortable and that I shouldn't be suffering any discomfort. They were also remarkably quick without rushing. And I got better every time so it was effective!
