Dr Magda Fourie

Dr Magda Fourie spent a year as an exchange student to The Netherlands before matriculating from Kathu High School.  She obtained her medical degree (MBChB) from the University of the Free State, passing internal medicine cum laude. She completed her internship at Klerksdorp Hospital and was awarded best medical intern by the Department of Health. Dr Magda completed her courses in Advanced Life Support, Advanced Paediatric Life Support, Anaesthesiology, Advanced Cosmetic Procedures and HIV Management. She ran her own medical practice for some years before studying further to obtain her Post-Graduate University Diploma in Occupational Health. She then joined the Anglo-American corporation at Kumba Iron Ore's Sishen Mine as Occupational Health Centre Manager and acting Medical Manager, before returning to her passion for clinical work and helping the community at large. She has developed a special interest in Medical Aesthetics and spends all of her time researching the latest developments and attending training seminars and courses.
