Rognlien started Balder clinic in 1990. He is currently co-owner and sits in the clinic's board. Rognlien trained doctor, homeopath and acupuncturist. One of Roe Liens matters of the heart has been to integrate the serious part of alternative and complementary medicine in Norwegian healthcare and help to make komplmentær medicine based on knowledge. He was head of the Norwegian Research of alternative medicine from 1991 to 1996 and sat from 1995 to 2006 on the board of the Research Council program for the bracketing and komplemetærmedisin. Roe Liens main interest is the use of herbs and natural substances in the prevention and treatment of disease. He is keen to find simple and natural alternatives to conventional medicine that is becoming more and more dominated by pills and high technology. Rognlien was founder and principal at Norwegian Acupuncture School (NA) from 1984 to 2001
He was co-founder, Editor and owner of health website mozon.no from 1999 to 2006. Mozon today and still is the largest health site. They recent years, Roe Liens focus has been to develop Balder clinic on. Balder clinic has been, is and will continue to be a multidisciplinary clinic where doctors, nutritionists, psychologists, osteopaths, manual therapists, physiotherapists, acupuncturists, homeopaths with several collaborating across professional boundaries to offer a better and wider health care. Our experience is that patients both visits the doctor, homeopath and acupuncturist separately, but these often do not speak together. Balder The clinic also cooperates with other expertise outside the clinic. The new focus on Balder clinic is to develop a knowledge-based community for doctors who want to work with holistic medicine based on modern natural science research. Balder clinic today we 11 doctors working with patients to provide holistic medicine school medicine terms, we call this functional medicine. Functional medicine is a holistic health model focusing on underlying imbalances and environmental factors involved. How diet, lifestyle, stress, psychological and mental aspects affect us - including the immune system, our hormones, digestion, incineration and energy. Functional medicine is a fundamental and causal approach to "modern" health problems that are prevalent in the population.
