Welcome to Donnybrook Counselling and Psychotherapy . The home of highly skilled and practical psychotherapy. Whatever you’re going through, you don’t have to get there alone, help can be sought.  Donnybrook counselling offers therapy to individuals  in a safe and confidential setting.(please note we do not work with couples ). The cost is €50 per session for students and €70 for employed. Elizabeth O'Sullivan is a fully accredited member of IACP with over 10 years experience. Together with a highly skilled team we offer a  professional service.

I am a qualified and Accredited Counsellor/Psychotherapist with IAHIP who works from a Humanistic and Integrative approach. This means that I work in a way that suits each individual person, according to their needs. I work with both men and women experiencing a wide variety of issues which include trauma, depression, anxiety and relationship problems. 

Promoting the good health and wellbeing of patients of all ages is the goal of the team at this primary healthcare centre and general medical practice. The clinic is located in Skerries, Dublin, Ireland. Every effort is made to maintain a friendly family environment at the clinic to make patients feel at ease through treatments. Services include health examinations for male and female patients of all ages and the administration of childhood and adult immunizations and travel vaccines.

I work with the client to discover their inner strengths and solutions using on the most part, a person centred approach but I also use an eclectic mix of other theories depending on the clients personal needs.  Clients are often unaware that they have the strength and knowledge within themselves to find solutions to the issues they are experiencing.  With a little gentle exploration, coupled with the support counselling/psychotherapy offers they unlock their own answers and this in turn empowers them to take control of their lives.  Changes don't always come easy and to make changes can be pretty difficult but when clients feel supported it enables them to look at themselves in a different way and to make the necessary changes.  Some clients even say "I've never said that out loud" or "it feels good to say that out in the open", and they know that from this point forward they can work towards making changes and feeling better in themselves.   Counselling brings about awareness and when you become aware of what it is that is causing you concern or anxiety, stress or discomfort you can take steps to alter, adapt or change it in order to lead a more contented life.  The ripple effect of change begins in the counselling room but eventually it filters into everyday life.

Making the decision to find a counsellor can be a difficult task, whether it is your first time or you are returning back to counselling. It can be a huge step in itself, as you may be experiencing a number of feelings, such as: what if I look silly, what if my problems seem unimportant or what if I don't know where to start? At Building Bridges I provide  a safe caring, non-judgemental and supportive space which allows people to explore issues within their life that are presently causing distress. Therapists use different approaches and interventions to suit the requirements of the client. The goal within the therapeutic relationship is help the client work towards making more positive choices.
