About Swiftbrook Medical Centre

We are a new GP clinic (opened Sept 2010) serving the communities of Citywest, Saggart, Rathcoole, Newcastle and Tallaght. We believe in providing evidence-based primary care of the highest quality, and all our doctors are specialist-trained in general practice.

We provide a full range of primary care services - general GP consultations, family planning, antenatal and postnatal care, childhood vaccinations, sexual health screening, smear tests, Well Man and Well Woman healthchecks, cryotherapy, chronic disease management (e.g. asthma, diabetes), blood tests, etc.

We have a spacious, purpose-built clinic in Citywest, with a comfortable waiting area with a children's corner. We accept private and medical card patients (full GMS card, or Doctor-Visit card).

Our out-of-hours care is provided by TLC-Doc, a co-operative of local GPs based in Tallaght Hospital. Registered patients of the practice are eligible to use this service, which is open from 6-10pm Monday-Friday, and 10am-6pm Sat / Sun / Bank Holidays. For more information, see the TLC-Doc website

"Got me the help I needed"

Treatment Received: GP Consultation
The staff are really caring and the doctors actually listen. And no grumpy reception always very nice and very accommodating. The doctors in the surgery save me from suicide and got me the help I needed. Where another clinic in county Dublin advised that they could do noting for me a and go to A&E.

Excellent. They accept public and private patients. Never any problems getting an appointment. I cannot stress how caring the staff are in this practice, second to none. I have been attending the practice for the past two years.
