I had the candela laser therapy on my facial pigmentation. As well as dramatically lightening my freckles and brown marks, it really improved my skin texture making it smoother and brighter. A friend commented on how lovely my skin looked, thinking I’d bought a new foundation, when in fact I was wearing none. The procedure was remarkably pain-free, unlike previous laser therapies I’ve had. Highly recommend Dr Kathryn, she is so professional and has magic hands.

 We offer a number of solutions at our clinic for Acne. There are various professional methods to improve active acne, depending on the individual. Chemical peels, Microdermabrasion, Nuriss Acne Homecare products and Nuriss Acne Clear Laser can all improve the appearance of your skin and clear the Acne spots. It is important to get the acne under control first before tackling the scarring to get the best results As a GP and skin specialist, I see all new patients with acne, as quite often we need to use a combination of medical and aesthetic treatments to improve things. In-clinic treatments include: Acne Laser Treatments Advanced Nuriss Acne Blue light laser therapy programmes can help to get your Acne under control.   Our Nuriss AFT laser system uses intense blue wavelengths of light to destroy P. acnes bacteria, the bacteria known to be linked to acne. This treatment is generally three times faster than common antibiotics and topical treatments. Most people require 6-8 treatments over a four- eight week period.The results are accumulative and you will generally start seeing results after just a couple of treatments. We also ofter a Q-switch Clearlfit laser which targets pores, pigment, bacteria and collagen. This laser course consists typically of 4-6 treatments every 7-10 days. For acne scarring, once the acne has fully cleared, we offer ipixel resurfacing laser and dermaroller, dermastamp and mesotherapy. Consultation fee is £100 and this is redeemeable against the cost of any treatments purchased. Laser prices start from £150.00.

Short Wave Diathermy Treatment  
Using thermos-coagulation and Thermolysis, over 20 different skin blemishes can be quick, safely and effectively treated offering an eventual blemish free smooth skin. Certain skin blemishes can be removed in one treatment, but others may need several treatments before complete removal is achieved.  The Non-Surgical Blemish Removal can treat many skin conditions such as; Telangiectasia (Red veins), Spider Naevi, Skin Tags, Blood Spots, Cherry Angioma, Seborrhoeic Keratosis/Warts, Sebaceous Hyperplasia, Dermatosis Papulosa Nigra, Milia, Hairy Moles and Viral Warts...How does it work?The treatment uses a Short-Wave Diathermy electrical current (heat) and it is extremely safe and effective and creates a localised effect in the target area. Treatment results in a controlled destruction of the tissue and its eventual removal by the body’s innate healing mechanism.What does the treatment involve and does it hurt?This is so fine and localised that only the smallest amount of discomfort is experienced and for most people, there is very little discomfort.What will my skin be like after treatment?It is normal for the treated area to feel sensitive, show some redness and possibly a little swelling for a few days post-treatment. In some cases, a small blister may form. Where deeper lesions have been treated you will leave the clinic with a dressing covering the open wound.After a few days, these initial reactions will disappear but you will then usually experience localised drying and scabbing of the tissue as healing progresses. This is part of the healing process and is a normal reaction to the treatment of most conditions. It will disappear as new healthy skin replaces the old. It is imperative you do not pick this tissue.Are there any potential side effects? Providing that the correct aftercare instructions are followed and no infection is allowed to develop, these reactions will go quickly and the risks of any permanent scarring are minimal.
