Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nur Cihan Coşansu, of Turkish descent, was born in 1986 in Kirkuk. Excelling academically from an early age, she graduated at the top of her high school class in 2004 before pursuing a medical career.
She completed her medical education at Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Medical Faculty, graduating in 2010. She then specialised in Dermatology between 2012 and 2016 at Sakarya University’s Faculty of Medicine, Dermatology Department. Following this, she fulfilled her compulsory service at Kastamonu State Hospital and Sakarya Training and Research Hospital from 2016 to 2018.
From 2018 to 2022, Dr Coşansu worked as a specialist doctor at Sakarya Training and Research Hospital, where she developed a particular interest in treating urticaria, psoriasis, vitiligo, rosacea, and acne. In 2022, she joined the National Clinic, where she continues to provide expert dermatological care.
Between 2022 and 2024, she also served as an Assistant Professor at Biruni University Medical Faculty, contributing to medical education while furthering her expertise in Dermatology and Dermatocosmetology through numerous national and international training programs. In 2024, she earned the prestigious title of Associate Professor Doctor.
Her special interests include dermocosmetics, laser applications, rosacea, acne and acne scars, hair diseases, nail surgery, dermatological surgery, and skin cancers.
Beyond her professional achievements, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nur Cihan (Mimaroğlu) Coşansu is happily married to Dr. Kahraman Coşansu and is the proud mother of two boys.
