Dr Abhinav Kumar is a highly qualified dermatologist and hair transplant surgeon with extensive academic and clinical experience in dermatology and aesthetic medicine. He completed his MBBS from Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi (2011), followed by an MD in Dermatology from Lady Hardinge Medical College, New Delhi. He also served as a Senior Resident at Lok Nayak Hospital and GB Pant Hospital, New Delhi, further strengthening his expertise in clinical dermatology and dermatosurgery.
He began his specialised training in hair transplantation through a fellowship at Eugenix Hair Sciences, Gurugram, under the guidance of Dr Pradeep Sethi and Dr Arika Bansal in 2017. Following this, he dedicated three years exclusively to hair transplant surgery, independently performing over 300 procedures across various centres of Eugenix Hair Sciences.
Dr Kumar is also the author of the internationally recognised textbook Step by Step Hair Transplantation, written during his tenure at Eugenix, where he documented his surgical experience and insights. The book was officially launched by Mr Ghulam Nabi Azad.
Further enhancing his clinical expertise, he worked as a Senior Resident in Dermatology at Lok Nayak Hospital from 2020 to 2023, where he managed a high patient volume and performed advanced dermatosurgical procedures, including skin grafting for vitiligo, excision of skin cancers, skin lesion surgeries, and laser treatments.
He is an active member of the Indian Association of Dermatologists, Venereologists and Leprologists (IADVL) and FUE Asia, a leading coalition of hair transplant surgeons. Known for his dedication to patient care, Dr Kumar is also a committed educator and speaker, having participated in numerous national and international conferences over the past decade.
