Pradeep completed his MBBS in 2000 from Sri Lanka. After a year of internship in General Medicine & Surgery, he spent the next three year in the field of family medicine in Sri Lanka. He left Sri Lanka for the UK in 2005 for further medical education and training. Prior to undergoing medical training in UK, he completed the Professional Linguistic Assessment Board (PLAB-UK) medical examination in London in early 2005.

In the UK, Pradeep underwent training in General Medicine, Neurology, Obstetrics & Gynaecology and Emergency Medicine. He then moved to Australia and completed the Australian Medical Council Examination (AMC) Certificate in 2006 and his Fellowship in General Practice (FRACGP) from The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) in 2008.
