About Medical Dental Spa

Medical Dental Spa is a modern, CQC-registered private dental clinic in West Hampstead, London NW6. We provide general, emergency, preventive, restorative and cosmetic dentistry for adults, children and families.

The clinic is open 7 days a week, with evening and weekend appointments. We aim to provide same-day emergency care whenever possible for toothache, swelling, broken teeth, lost fillings or crowns, wisdom tooth pain and dental infections.

We are located directly opposite West Hampstead Thameslink Station, a few minutes from the Underground and close to the Overground. Free patient parking is available at the rear, subject to availability.

Our approach focuses on prevention, early diagnosis, careful treatment planning and preserving as much natural tooth structure as possible. Every patient receives an individual assessment and recommendations based on their needs.

Services include examinations, emergency dentistry, digital X-rays, panoramic imaging, on-site CBCT scanning, dental hygiene, Guided Biofilm Therapy, AirFlow, composite fillings, composite bonding, professional teeth whitening, clear aligners, crowns, bridges, veneers, dentures, root canal treatment, extractions, wisdom tooth assessments, gum care, children’s dentistry, retainers, ICON white spot treatment, Curodont Repair, TMJ physiotherapy and facial aesthetics.

Hygiene appointments may include plaque disclosure, AirFlow cleaning, ultrasonic scaling and personalised oral hygiene advice. Guided Biofilm Therapy may be suitable for patients with staining, sensitive teeth, implants, crowns, veneers, orthodontic attachments or clear aligners.

For patients interested in improving their smile, we provide minimally invasive options including whitening, composite bonding, tooth contouring, clear aligners and digital smile planning. Our aim is to create natural-looking results while avoiding unnecessary removal of healthy tooth tissue.

Clear aligner treatment is planned digitally using an intraoral scanner. Depending on the case, treatment may involve attachments, interproximal reduction, elastics or refinement aligners. A full dental and gum health assessment is completed before treatment, and retainers are required afterwards.

We also offer ICON resin infiltration for suitable white enamel lesions and Curodont Repair for selected early carious lesions. Suitability is confirmed after examination and, where required, dental imaging.

The clinic uses modern technology including a Medit digital intraoral scanner, digital X-rays and on-site CBCT and panoramic imaging. Digital scanning supports planning for aligners, restorations and retainers.

Medical Dental Spa is led by Dr Kamilla Kochanek and Dr Maciej Reska.

Dr Kamilla Kochanek qualified in 2002 and has more than twenty years of clinical experience. Her interests include minimally invasive cosmetic and restorative dentistry, composite bonding, whitening, clear aligners, smile makeovers, preventive care, white spot treatment and facial aesthetics. Patients value her gentle approach, attention to detail and clear explanations.

Dr Maciej Reska provides general, restorative and emergency dental care. His interests include fillings, crowns and bridges, root canal treatment, extractions, wisdom tooth assessments and complex treatment planning. He focuses on accurate diagnosis, practical solutions and preserving natural teeth wherever possible.

Nervous patients are welcome. Our team takes time to explain findings, discuss options and answer questions before treatment begins.

Patients choose Medical Dental Spa for its seven-day opening, evening and weekend availability, same-day emergency appointments whenever possible, convenient location, free parking, digital scanning, on-site CBCT imaging and access to general, cosmetic, preventive and emergency dentistry within one clinic.

All treatments are provided following an appropriate consultation, medical history review and clinical assessment.

Clear Aligners

Clear Aligners at Medical Dental Spa in West Hampstead, London NW6

Clear aligners are a discreet and removable orthodontic treatment designed to gradually improve the position and alignment of the teeth. They may be suitable for patients with crowding, spacing, rotated teeth or mild to moderate bite concerns.

Treatment begins with a detailed dental and orthodontic assessment. The dentist will examine the teeth, gums and bite and may recommend X-rays, photographs and a digital intraoral scan. The scan is used to create a personalised treatment plan and a digital visualisation showing the proposed tooth movements.

A series of custom-made clear aligners is then produced specifically for your teeth. Each aligner is worn for the recommended period before progressing to the next stage. Aligners should normally be worn for approximately 20 to 22 hours per day and removed only for eating, drinking anything other than water, brushing and flossing.

Depending on the treatment plan, small tooth-coloured attachments or interproximal reduction may be required to support accurate tooth movement. These procedures will be explained before treatment begins.

Regular review appointments are arranged to monitor progress, assess the fit of the aligners and make any necessary adjustments. Treatment time varies depending on the complexity of the case and how consistently the aligners are worn.

Once treatment is completed, clear retainers are usually recommended to help maintain the new tooth position and reduce the risk of relapse.

Clear aligner consultations are available at Medical Dental Spa in West Hampstead, London NW6, including evening and weekend appointments. Suitability, treatment stages, fees and expected results are confirmed following a full clinical assessment.

Core Buildup (40 mins)

Core Build-Up After Root Canal Treatment at Medical Dental Spa in West Hampstead, London NW6

A core build-up is used to rebuild and strengthen a tooth that has lost a significant amount of natural structure due to decay, fracture, a large filling or root canal treatment. It creates a stable foundation for the next stage of treatment, which may include a dental crown or another laboratory-made restoration.

Following root canal treatment, the dentist carefully assesses the remaining tooth structure and removes any weakened or unsuitable restorative material. The tooth is then rebuilt using a modern, high-strength tooth-coloured core material designed to provide support and restore the correct shape of the tooth.

In some cases, an additional post may be required inside the root-treated tooth to help retain the core. This is only used where clinically necessary and will be discussed with the patient before treatment.

Once the core build-up has been completed and the tooth has been prepared, a precise digital scan is taken. The scan records the shape of the prepared tooth, surrounding teeth and bite without the need for traditional impression material. It is then sent securely to the dental laboratory, where the final crown or restoration is custom-made.

A temporary restoration may be placed while the laboratory prepares the final crown. At the fitting appointment, the dentist checks the shape, shade, contact points and bite before securely fitting the final restoration.

Core build-up and digital scanning after root canal treatment are available at Medical Dental Spa in West Hampstead, London NW6, including evening and weekend appointments.

Dental CT - CBCT Scan (30 mins)

A CBCT scan provides detailed three-dimensional images of the teeth, jawbone, nerves, sinuses and surrounding structures. It may be recommended when standard dental X-rays do not provide enough information for accurate diagnosis or treatment planning.

At Medical Dental Spa, CBCT imaging can support the assessment and planning of dental implants, complex tooth extractions, wisdom teeth, root canal treatment, impacted teeth, bone levels and other advanced dental procedures.

The scan is quick and non-invasive. Your dentist will first assess whether CBCT imaging is clinically necessary and will explain the reason for the scan. The images can then be reviewed as part of your treatment planning or shared with your referring dentist or specialist when required.

£50 - £60

Dental Sealant (30 mins)

Dental Sealants at Medical Dental Spa in West Hampstead, London NW6

Dental sealants are a preventive treatment designed to protect the deep grooves and fissures of the back teeth, where food particles and plaque can be difficult to remove with regular brushing.

A thin protective material is applied to the chewing surface of the tooth, creating a smoother barrier that helps reduce the risk of decay developing in vulnerable areas. Sealants are commonly recommended for children when permanent molars erupt, but they may also be suitable for teenagers and adults with deep grooves or an increased risk of dental caries.

The procedure is quick, non-invasive and usually does not require injections or drilling. The tooth is carefully cleaned and prepared before the sealant material is applied and hardened with a special curing light. The bite is then checked to ensure the tooth feels comfortable.

Dental sealants are most effective when combined with regular dental examinations, professional hygiene appointments, fluoride toothpaste and good daily oral hygiene. Their condition should be checked periodically, as they may need maintenance or replacement over time.

Dental sealant appointments are available at Medical Dental Spa in West Hampstead, London NW6, including evening and weekend appointments. Suitability is confirmed following a clinical dental assessment.

from £20

Dental X-Ray

£120 - £300

3D Dental X-Ray (30 mins)

3D Dental X-Ray at Medical Dental Spa in West Hampstead, London NW6

A 3D dental X-ray, also known as a CBCT scan, provides detailed three-dimensional images of the teeth, jawbone, nerves, sinuses and surrounding anatomical structures. It offers more information than a standard two-dimensional dental X-ray and may be recommended when precise diagnosis or advanced treatment planning is required.

A 3D dental X-ray may support the assessment and planning of:

• dental implants and available bone volume

• wisdom teeth and complex extractions

• impacted or unerupted teeth

• root canal treatment and dental infections

• jawbone abnormalities and cysts

• orthodontic treatment

• facial pain and selected jaw conditions

• complex restorative or surgical procedures

The scan is quick, non-invasive and completed while the patient remains standing or seated. The imaging unit moves around the head to create a detailed digital 3D image, which can then be reviewed by the dentist as part of the clinical assessment.

Before arranging the scan, the dentist will assess whether 3D imaging is clinically necessary and explain why it is recommended. The scan area is selected according to the individual diagnostic need to limit radiation exposure.

3D dental X-rays are available at Medical Dental Spa in West Hampstead, London NW6. We also accept patients referred by other dentists and can securely provide the images to the referring clinician or specialist where required.

£85 - £100

Digital Panoramic Dental X-Ray (30 mins)

Digital Panoramic Dental X-Ray at Medical Dental Spa in West Hampstead, London NW6

A digital panoramic dental X-ray, also known as an OPG, provides a wide two-dimensional image of the upper and lower jaws, teeth, jaw joints and surrounding structures in a single scan.

This type of X-ray may be recommended to assess wisdom teeth, impacted teeth, missing teeth, bone levels, jaw development, dental infections, large restorations and general oral health. It may also support treatment planning for extractions, implants, orthodontic treatment and other dental procedures.

During the scan, the patient remains standing or seated while the X-ray unit moves around the head. The procedure is quick, non-invasive and usually completed within a few seconds.

The image can be reviewed by the dentist as part of a clinical assessment and, where required, shared securely with a referring dentist or specialist. An OPG provides a useful overall view, although additional small dental X-rays or CBCT imaging may sometimes be recommended for more detailed assessment.

Digital panoramic dental X-rays are available at Medical Dental Spa in West Hampstead, London NW6, including appointments for patients referred by other dental practices.

Dentist Consultation (45 mins)

Dentist Consultation at Medical Dental Spa in West Hampstead, London NW6

A dentist consultation is the first step towards understanding your oral health and planning the most appropriate treatment for your individual needs. At Medical Dental Spa, every consultation is personalised and focused on your concerns, priorities and long-term dental health.

During the appointment, the dentist will discuss your dental history, current symptoms, previous treatment and any cosmetic or functional concerns. A thorough examination of the teeth, gums, bite and surrounding oral tissues will then be carried out. Dental X-rays, photographs, digital scans or CBCT imaging may be recommended where clinically necessary.

Following the assessment, you will receive a personalised treatment plan explaining the findings, available treatment options, recommended sequence of care and expected costs. The dentist will also discuss suitable alternatives, timescales and any advantages or limitations of each option, allowing you to make an informed decision.

Your treatment plan may include preventive care, hygiene treatment, fillings, root canal treatment, extractions, crowns, bridges, implants, clear aligners, whitening, composite bonding or other cosmetic and restorative procedures, depending on your individual needs.

We aim to provide clear, honest and practical advice without pressure. Where treatment is complex, it may be divided into manageable stages based on clinical priorities, your schedule and your budget.

White Filling (45 mins)

White Fillings at Medical Dental Spa in West Hampstead, London NW6

White fillings, also known as composite fillings, are tooth-coloured restorations used to repair teeth affected by decay, small fractures, worn areas or damaged existing fillings. They are carefully matched to the natural shade of the tooth to provide a discreet and natural-looking result.

At Medical Dental Spa, we use modern, high-quality composite materials designed to provide strength, durability and excellent aesthetics. These advanced materials allow the dentist to recreate the natural shape, colour and surface texture of the tooth while preserving as much healthy tooth structure as possible.

Treatment begins with a clinical assessment and, where required, a dental X-ray. The damaged or decayed area is carefully cleaned before the composite material is applied in layers, shaped and hardened using a specialised curing light. The filling is then adjusted to the patient’s bite and polished for a smooth finish.

White fillings may be suitable for front and back teeth and can be used to replace older or damaged restorations where clinically appropriate. The final result depends on the size and location of the filling, the condition of the tooth and the patient’s bite.

White filling appointments are available at Medical Dental Spa in West Hampstead, London NW6, including evening and weekend appointments.

Fluoride Therapy (30 mins)

Fluoride Therapy at Medical Dental Spa in West Hampstead, London NW6

Fluoride therapy is a preventive dental treatment designed to help strengthen tooth enamel and reduce the risk of dental decay. It may also support patients with sensitive teeth, early enamel demineralisation, exposed root surfaces or an increased risk of cavities.

Treatment begins with a dental assessment to identify the patient’s individual needs and confirm whether professional fluoride application is appropriate. Fluoride varnish or another professional fluoride product is then carefully applied to the teeth.

Fluoride therapy may be recommended for children, teenagers and adults, particularly for patients with:

• a high risk of dental decay

• early enamel changes or weakened enamel

• sensitive teeth

• exposed tooth roots

• fixed braces or orthodontic appliances

• dry mouth

• a history of frequent cavities

• difficulty maintaining effective oral hygiene

The procedure is quick, non-invasive and usually completed during a dental examination or hygiene appointment. Patients receive personalised advice on eating, drinking and brushing after the treatment, depending on the fluoride product used.

Professional fluoride therapy works best as part of a wider preventive care plan that includes regular dental examinations, effective brushing with fluoride toothpaste, interdental cleaning and appropriate dietary advice.

Fluoride therapy is available at Medical Dental Spa in West Hampstead, London NW6, including evening and weekend appointments. Suitability and recommended frequency are confirmed following a clinical dental assessment.

Crown Lengthening (2 hours, 2 sessions)

Crown Lengthening at Medical Dental Spa in West Hampstead, London NW6

Crown lengthening is a dental procedure used to expose more of the natural tooth structure by carefully reshaping the gum tissue and, where clinically necessary, a small amount of the supporting bone.

The treatment may be recommended when there is not enough visible tooth structure to securely place a crown, bridge or filling. It can also be used for cosmetic purposes to improve the proportions of teeth that appear short or to create a more balanced gum line.

Before treatment, the dentist will carry out a detailed clinical assessment and may take dental X-rays or a digital scan. The position of the gum, bone level, tooth roots, bite and planned restoration will be carefully evaluated before a personalised treatment plan is prepared.

Crown lengthening may be considered for:

• teeth broken close to or below the gum line

• decay extending beneath the gum

• preparation for a dental crown or bridge

• replacement of a deep or damaged filling

• improving uneven gum levels

• reducing the appearance of a gummy smile in selected cases

The procedure is performed under local anaesthetic. The gum tissue is gently repositioned to reveal the required amount of tooth structure. Where necessary, the underlying bone may also be conservatively reshaped to create sufficient space for healthy healing and the final restoration.

A healing period is usually required before the tooth is digitally scanned for a permanent crown, veneer or other laboratory-made restoration. The exact treatment sequence and healing time depend on the individual clinical situation.

Crown lengthening consultations are available at Medical Dental Spa in West Hampstead, London NW6, including evening and weekend appointments. Suitability, expected healing and the final restorative plan are confirmed following a full dental assessment.

Composite Resin Inlay or Onlay (1 hour, 2 sessions)

Composite Resin Inlay or Onlay at Medical Dental Spa in West Hampstead, London NW6

A composite resin inlay or onlay is a custom-made restoration used to repair a tooth that has been weakened by decay, fracture, wear or a large existing filling. It may be recommended when a standard filling would not provide enough support, but a full dental crown is not required.

An inlay fits within the central part of the tooth, while an onlay covers one or more of the tooth’s biting cusps. Both options are designed to preserve as much healthy natural tooth structure as possible while restoring strength, shape and function.

Treatment begins with a detailed dental assessment and, where required, an X-ray. The damaged or decayed material is carefully removed and the tooth is prepared conservatively. A precise digital scan is then taken to record the prepared tooth, surrounding teeth and bite.

The scan is sent securely to a dental laboratory, where the composite resin inlay or onlay is individually designed and manufactured. Modern composite materials allow the restoration to be matched closely to the natural colour and appearance of the tooth.

A temporary restoration may be placed while the final inlay or onlay is being prepared. At the fitting appointment, the dentist checks the fit, contact points, shape and bite before securely bonding the restoration to the tooth.

Composite resin inlays and onlays may be suitable for back teeth with extensive damage, cracked cusps, large failing fillings or insufficient tooth structure for a conventional filling. The most appropriate restoration depends on the condition of the tooth, the patient’s bite and the amount of remaining healthy enamel.

Composite resin inlays and onlays are available at Medical Dental Spa in West Hampstead, London NW6, including evening and weekend appointments.

Porcelain Inlay or Onlay at Medical Dental Spa in West Hampstead, London NW6A porcelain inlay or onlay is a custom-made dental restoration used to repair a tooth affected by decay, fracture, wear or a large damaged filling. It may be recommended when a standard filling would not provide enough strength, but a full dental crown is not necessary. An inlay fits within the central part of the tooth, while an onlay covers one or more of the biting cusps. This allows the dentist to restore the damaged area while preserving as much healthy natural tooth structure as possible.Porcelain restorations are selected for their durability, smooth surface and natural appearance. The shade, shape and translucency can be carefully matched to the surrounding teeth, creating a discreet, metal-free restoration.

Treatment begins with a detailed dental assessment and, where clinically required, an X-ray. The damaged filling, decay or weakened tooth structure is carefully removed, and the tooth is prepared conservatively.

A precise digital intraoral scan is then taken to record the prepared tooth, neighbouring teeth and bite. The scan is securely sent to a dental laboratory, where the porcelain inlay or onlay is individually designed and manufactured.

A temporary restoration may be placed while the final porcelain restoration is being prepared. At the fitting appointment, the dentist checks the fit, margins, contact points, shade and bite before securely bonding the restoration to the tooth.

Porcelain inlays and onlays may be suitable for teeth with large failing fillings, fractured cusps, extensive decay or insufficient remaining structure for a conventional filling. The most appropriate option depends on the position of the tooth, the amount of healthy enamel remaining, the patient’s bite and the extent of the damage.

Porcelain inlays and onlays are available at Medical Dental Spa in West Hampstead, London NW6, including evening and weekend appointments.

Intraoral Scanning (30 mins)

Intraoral Scanning with Medit i900 at Medical Dental Spa in West Hampstead, London NW6

Intraoral scanning is a modern method of creating a detailed three-dimensional digital image of the teeth, gums and bite. At Medical Dental Spa, we use the Medit i900 intraoral scanner to provide fast, precise and comfortable digital impressions without the need for traditional trays filled with impression material.

During the appointment, the dentist gently moves the small scanner tip around the mouth. The images appear on the screen in real time, allowing the teeth and surrounding structures to be reviewed immediately. The Medit i900 uses advanced imaging technology and an ergonomic touch interface to support a smooth digital scanning process.

Digital intraoral scans may be used for:

• clear aligners and orthodontic treatment planning

• clear and fixed retainers

• whitening trays

• crowns, bridges, veneers and inlays

• dental implants

• custom-made night guards

• smile design and cosmetic treatment planning

• monitoring changes in tooth position, wear or gum condition

The scan can be sent securely to a dental laboratory, aligner provider or specialist, helping to support accurate communication and personalised appliance or restoration design.

Intraoral scanning is particularly helpful for patients who dislike conventional dental impressions or have a sensitive gag reflex. The procedure is non-invasive, does not use radiation and can usually be completed within a few minutes.

Medit i900 digital scanning is available at Medical Dental Spa in West Hampstead, London NW6, including evening and weekend appointments.

Mouth Guard (45 mins, 2 sessions)

Custom Mouth Guards at Medical Dental Spa in West Hampstead, London NW6

Custom-made mouth guards, also known as night guards or occlusal splints, are designed to help protect the teeth from damage caused by grinding, clenching and excessive pressure during sleep. They may also help reduce wear, fractures, jaw muscle tension and discomfort associated with bruxism.

Treatment begins with a dental assessment to examine the teeth, existing restorations, bite and jaw symptoms. A digital scan of the teeth is then taken, allowing the mouth guard to be made specifically for the patient’s bite and treatment needs.

We offer several types of custom-made mouth guards:

Soft Night Guard

A flexible and comfortable option that may be suitable for mild teeth grinding or clenching. Soft guards are often chosen by patients who prefer a softer material and are new to wearing a night guard.

Hard Night Guard

A durable, rigid appliance designed for patients with moderate or heavy grinding and clenching. Hard night guards provide greater resistance to wear and allow the dentist to carefully adjust the biting surface where required.

Erkoloc-Pro Hybrid Night Guard

Erkoloc-Pro combines a softer inner layer with a harder outer layer. The soft inner surface provides comfort around the teeth, while the firm outer surface offers durability and protection against grinding forces. This soft-hard hybrid material may be suitable for patients who require stronger protection but prefer a more comfortable fit.

Once the appliance is ready, a fitting appointment is arranged to check comfort, retention and the bite. Patients also receive personalised instructions on wearing, cleaning and storing the mouth guard.

Custom soft, hard and Erkoloc-Pro night guards are available at Medical Dental Spa in West Hampstead, London NW6, including evening and weekend appointments. The most appropriate type is recommended following a clinical assessment.

Orthodontic Retainer (30 mins, 2 sessions)

Orthodontic Retainer - Medical Dental Spa

Clear retainers at Medical Dental Spa in West Hampstead, London NW6.

Custom-made clear retainers help keep teeth in their new position after clear aligner treatment or fixed braces. They may also be suitable for patients who have lost or damaged their previous retainer or noticed that it no longer fits correctly.

We use a digital scan to create a precise and comfortable clear retainer tailored to your teeth. Once the retainer is ready, we check the fit and provide advice on wear, cleaning and long-term maintenance.

Replacement clear retainers are available for new and existing patients. If your retainer has been lost, cracked, damaged or feels too tight, arrange an assessment as soon as possible, as teeth may gradually begin to move without regular retainer wear.

Clear retainer appointments are available at our dental clinic in West Hampstead, London NW6, including evening and weekend appointments.

GBT - Guided Biofilm Therapy (45 mins)

Guided Biofilm Therapy is a modern and minimally invasive approach to professional dental hygiene. It is designed to identify and remove plaque biofilm, surface stains and deposits in a precise, comfortable and systematic way.

The treatment begins with a plaque-disclosing solution, which makes areas of biofilm visible and allows the dental professional to target the areas that need the most attention. AirFlow technology is then used to gently remove plaque and staining with a controlled stream of warm water, air and fine powder. Any remaining deposits are removed carefully as required.

GBT may be suitable for patients with sensitive teeth, dental implants, crowns, bridges, veneers, fixed braces or clear aligner attachments. It can also help patients who find traditional scaling uncomfortable or who would like a more modern approach to stain removal and gum health maintenance.

The treatment may help remove staining caused by coffee, tea, red wine and smoking, while supporting healthier gums and fresher breath. Each appointment is tailored to the patient’s individual oral health needs following a clinical assessment.

Guided Biofilm Therapy appointments are available at Medical Dental Spa in West Hampstead, London NW6, including evening and weekend appointments.

Periodontal Maintenance (45 mins)

Periodontal Maintenance at Medical Dental Spa in West Hampstead, London NW6

Periodontal maintenance is an ongoing professional cleaning programme designed for patients with a history of gum disease, periodontal treatment or persistent gum inflammation. Regular maintenance can help control plaque and tartar, reduce the risk of further gum problems and support the long-term stability of the teeth and gums.

Appointments are tailored to the patient’s individual periodontal needs and may include an assessment of the gums, measurement of periodontal pockets, removal of plaque and hardened deposits above and below the gumline, AirFlow stain and biofilm removal, polishing and personalised oral hygiene advice.

Periodontal maintenance is often combined with an Oralis 1 saliva test. This additional test may help assess the presence and levels of selected bacteria associated with periodontal disease, providing further information to support personalised treatment planning, prevention and long-term monitoring.

Periodontal maintenance may be recommended after deep cleaning, root surface debridement or periodontal treatment. It can also be particularly important for patients with dental implants, crowns, bridges, diabetes, smoking-related risks or a previous history of bone loss around the teeth.

The recommended frequency depends on the patient’s gum health, test results and individual risk factors. Some patients may benefit from maintenance appointments every three to four months rather than standard six-monthly hygiene visits.

Periodontal maintenance and Oralis 1 saliva testing are available at Medical Dental Spa in West Hampstead, London NW6, including evening and weekend appointments.

Teeth Contouring and Reshaping (1 hour)

Teeth Contouring and Reshaping at Medical Dental Spa in West Hampstead, London NW6

Teeth contouring and reshaping is a minimally invasive cosmetic dental treatment used to refine the shape, length and appearance of selected teeth. Small amounts of enamel may be carefully adjusted to smooth uneven edges, improve symmetry and create a more balanced, natural-looking smile.

This treatment may be suitable for patients with minor chips, slightly uneven incisal edges, pointed teeth, small shape irregularities or teeth that appear slightly longer than neighbouring teeth. It may also be used as part of a wider smile makeover, following clear aligner treatment or alongside composite bonding.

The procedure is usually completed without injections and may often be carried out during a single appointment. Before treatment, the dentist will assess the teeth, enamel thickness, bite and overall smile to confirm that contouring is clinically appropriate and safe.

£350 - £550

Home Whitening Kits (40 mins, 2 sessions)

Professional Home Whitening Kits at Medical Dental Spa in West Hampstead, London NW6

Our professional home whitening treatment is personalised to each patient and is provided under dental supervision to help achieve a safe, gradual and natural-looking improvement in tooth colour.

The treatment begins with a teeth whitening assessment. During this appointment, the dentist checks the health of the teeth and gums, discusses your expectations and confirms whether whitening is suitable for you. A digital scan of your teeth is then taken so that custom whitening trays can be made specifically for your smile.

The trays are produced by a dental laboratory to provide a close and comfortable fit. They are designed to hold the whitening gel evenly against the teeth while helping to reduce unnecessary contact with the gums.

After approximately three to four days, you return for a second appointment. Internal Tooth Bleaching (2 hours, 2 sessions)

Internal Tooth Bleaching at Medical Dental Spa in West Hampstead, London NW6

Internal tooth bleaching is a professional whitening treatment designed for a tooth that has become darker following root canal treatment, dental trauma or changes inside the tooth. Unlike standard teeth whitening, the whitening material is placed inside the tooth to target internal discolouration.

Treatment begins with a detailed dental assessment. The dentist will examine the tooth, review its previous root canal treatment and may take an X-ray to confirm that the tooth and surrounding tissues are suitable for internal bleaching.

A small opening is carefully made in the back of the tooth, and the existing root filling is protected with a barrier. The whitening material is then placed inside the tooth and temporarily sealed.

Depending on the level of discolouration, the whitening material may need to be replaced over several appointments until the desired improvement is achieved. Once the shade is satisfactory, the tooth is permanently sealed with a tooth-coloured filling.

Internal bleaching aims to improve the colour of a single darkened tooth while preserving as much natural tooth structure as possible. The final result depends on the cause and severity of the discolouration, the condition of the tooth and its response to treatment.

Internal tooth bleaching appointments are available at Medical Dental Spa in West Hampstead, London NW6, including evening and weekend appointments.

Treatment of Dental Abscess (40 mins)

Treatment of Dental Abscess at Medical Dental Spa in West Hampstead, London NW6

A dental abscess is a collection of infection that may develop around the root of a tooth or within the gums. Common symptoms can include severe toothache, swelling, tenderness, pain when biting, sensitivity, an unpleasant taste, fever or swelling of the face or jaw.

Treatment begins with an urgent dental assessment to identify the source of the infection. The dentist may take a dental X-ray and examine the tooth, gums and surrounding tissues before discussing the most appropriate treatment options.

Depending on the cause and severity of the abscess, treatment may include drainage of the infection, opening the tooth to relieve pressure, beginning root canal treatment, deep cleaning around the affected gum area or removing a tooth that cannot be restored.

Antibiotics may be prescribed when clinically necessary, particularly where there are signs that the infection is spreading or affecting the patient’s general health. Antibiotics alone usually do not remove the source of a dental abscess, so further dental treatment may still be required.

Our priority is to relieve pain, control the infection and provide a clear long-term treatment plan. Same-day emergency appointments may be available at Medical Dental Spa in West Hampstead, London NW6, including evening and weekend appointments.

Facial swelling that is rapidly increasing, difficulty swallowing or breathing, or swelling close to the eye requires urgent medical attention.

Veneers (2 sessions)

Dental Veneers at Medical Dental Spa in West Hampstead, London NW6

Dental veneers are thin, custom-made restorations placed over the front surface of selected teeth to improve their shape, colour, symmetry and overall appearance. They may be considered for teeth that are chipped, worn, uneven, discoloured, irregularly shaped or affected by small gaps.

Treatment begins with a detailed cosmetic dental assessment. The dentist will examine the teeth, gums and bite, discuss your expectations and explain whether veneers are the most appropriate option. Alternative treatments, such as professional whitening, composite bonding, teeth contouring or clear aligners, may also be discussed where they could provide a more conservative result.

Each veneer treatment plan is personalised to the patient’s facial features, smile line, tooth proportions and preferred outcome. Digital scans, photographs and smile planning may be used to support the design process. In suitable cases, a diagnostic preview or temporary mock-up may be recommended so that the proposed shape and appearance can be assessed before the final treatment.

Depending on the clinical situation, veneers may require minimal preparation of the natural tooth surface. Impressions or digital scans are then sent to a dental laboratory, where the veneers are individually created to achieve a precise fit and natural appearance.

At the fitting appointment, the shape, shade and overall appearance are checked before the veneers are securely bonded to the teeth. Patients receive personalised advice on cleaning, maintenance and protecting their veneers over the long term.

Dental veneers are available at Medical Dental Spa in West Hampstead, London NW6, including evening and weekend appointments. Suitability, treatment stages and expected results are confirmed following a full clinical assessment.

Dr Kamilla Kochanek is a highly experienced dentist with more than 20 years of clinical practice, combining advanced conservative dentistry, restorative care and modern aesthetic medicine in a gentle, patient-centred way.She graduated in Dentistry from the Medical University of Gdańsk in 2002 and has worked in the UK since 2008.Her aim is to improve oral health, function, confidence and facial harmony. Her philosophy is based on preserving and enhancing natural beauty. Rather than automatically choosing invasive treatment, she prioritises minimally invasive dentistry, caries control and, where clinically appropriate, caries reversal. She believes that the best dentistry respects the natural structure of the teeth, preserves as much healthy tissue as possible and restores strength, function and aesthetics with precision. Every smile is different, so each treatment plan is adapted to the patient’s needs, risk factors and expectations.A key part of Dr Kamilla’s approach is personalised diagnosis and treatment planning. Depending on the patient’s needs, an assessment may include a comprehensive examination, digital intraoral scanning, X-rays and a Saliva Test Oralis 1. These tools help her evaluate caries risk, oral microbiome balance, enamel condition, gum health, bite and function. By identifying underlying causes, she aims to address more than symptoms alone. This can be especially helpful for patients with recurring decay, sensitivity, bleeding gums, dry mouth or dental problems that repeatedly return.Dr Kamilla has a particular interest in preventive, conservative and restorative dentistry. She uses modern materials and techniques to protect and strengthen teeth while maintaining a natural appearance. Treatment may include remineralisation strategies, minimally invasive fillings, composite restorations, inlays, onlays, crowns, bridges, veneers and full bite rehabilitation. She also provides advanced endodontic treatment, extractions, wisdom tooth removal and tailored prosthetic solutions, including biofunctional Swiss dentures.Prevention is central to her work. She supports patients with personalised home-care routines, realistic dietary advice and long-term maintenance plans based on individual risk. For patients affected by sensitivity, dry mouth or enamel weakness, she offers targeted solutions intended to reduce discomfort and protect the teeth and gums over time. She explains recommendations clearly so patients can make informed decisions.Dr Kamilla also places strong emphasis on periodontal health, recognising that healthy gums and supporting tissues are essential for stable, long-lasting dental results. Her approach focuses on early diagnosis, gentle treatment and ongoing maintenance. Where appropriate, she coordinates hygiene, Guided Biofilm Therapy, periodontal care and restorative treatment with the wider clinical team.

Equally important to Dr Kamilla as clinical excellence is the way patients feel during treatment. She is especially mindful of people with dental anxiety, sensitive teeth or previous negative dental experiences. She takes time to listen, encourages questions and explains each stage before proceeding. Her calm, empathetic manner and gentle techniques help patients feel safe, understood and in control.

Dr Kamilla welcomes adults, children and families, as well as patients seeking emergency, preventive, restorative, cosmetic or aesthetic care.
