James took his undergraduate studies in the University of Newcastle, graduating in 2009 with a merit awarded for his clinical dental skill. James has been working with us at ODL since 2013 and in private practice since 2010. James works exclusively in the field of orthodontics and is able to offer our patients a full range of up to date and effective treatments to straighten their teeth, and obtain their perfect smile! 

As a keen and motivated clinician, James has completed many advanced learning postgraduate courses around the world. Upon graduation, James was awarded the Coltene Whaledent prize for cosmetic work, as well as a Merit for his clinical skill. He was awarded membership to the Royal College of Surgeons following successful completion of these examinations. James completed his Postgraduate Diploma in Orthodontics at the University of Aarhus, Denmark and has most recently achieved an MSc in Specialized Orthodontics from the International Medical College in Münster, Germany. 

James prides himself on his patient care. This means not only providing high quality and professional dental treatment to all patients, but improving the overall experience - in particular for those who feel nervous about the idea of dental treatment. James will take time to ensure with every patient that they are fully involved with any decisions made over possible treatment options. This ensures that patients can feel relaxed and be confident in any treatment care plan that is being suggested for them. 

In his spare time James is a keen sportsman, enjoying playing and watching most sports, whatever the season there will be something to entertain him!

Dr Seijas is the principal dentist at ODL Dental Clinic. With a focus in adult orthodontics, he continues to upgrade his skills and uses the latest technologies and techniques to provide the best outcomes for his patients in a comfortable and friendly environment.

He began his dental studies in Caracas, Venezuela, graduating with a Bachelor of Dental Science (BDS) degree in 2004, ranking in the top decile of his class. During the training he was recognised for his scientific work, winning national prizes, and represented the university by presenting his work at the World Dental Conferences in France in 2000 and Austria in 2002.

Continuing professional education is a key priority for Dr Alex, as he studies the latest techniques from some of the leading orthodontics practitioners globally. Since he completed his graduate studies, he has participated in more than 20 training courses from experts around the world, including the UK, USA, France, Germany, and Israel. 

Building on a deep understanding of facial anatomy learned through his dental training, Dr Alex furthered his passion for cosmetic treatments by completing an anti-wrinkle course in London.

Angie Pulido C. BDS (Venezuela) General dentist GDC reg. no 214541 Angie qualified as a dentist at Santa Maria University, Caracas in 2003. Since her qualification, Angie has built up a wealth of knowledge by further training in the USA, Sweden, Dubai and Hong Kong as well as here in the UK where she trained under Professor Paul Tipton (President of the British Academy of Restorative Dentistry) for 2 years at King's College, London.

Angie is able to offer the most up-to-date practices and procedures by regularly attending the Eastman Dental Institute. In additional to the benefits Angie can offer through training, she has a wealth of experience working in private practice and specialises in cosmetic and restorative dentistry. She is an expert in meeting and surpassing patient expectations using minimal invasive restoration techniques to increase comfort and reduce inconvenience and works closely with orthodontic specialists to leave patients making full use of a perfect smile.
