Dr Patel has an active interest in advance Dental Implant, Surgical Dentistry and Intravenous Sedation.

Dr Patel attained his Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) back in 1984 from the University of Newcastle. Since then he has flourished in the field, developing a successful dental practice in Smiledent whilst also sharing his intuition with others in the various teaching roles that he occupies. Currently he is not only a vocational trainer, but also a part-time senior clinical teacher in the oral surgery department of Kings College London and a teaching fellow at Warwick University. He recently was appointed the role of Programme Director at the Woolwich Scheme. Dr Patel has also furthered his own education since leaving university, successfully completing many postgraduate diploma-training courses. For his efforts he has rightly been awarded a MFGDP (UK) in 1999 and a DPDS (Bristol) in 2002. Having acquired a personal interest in Implantology he participated in a three year Implant Programme at Warwick University, completing an MSc in Implant Dentistry in 2006. He then went on to train at the world renowned Eastman Dental Institute and received a certificate in Advanced Implantology. Dr Patel is an active member of his LDC and a member of ADI, EOA, BACD, FGDP, DDU and CODE. He is an approved mentor in Implantology by the Association of Dental Implantologist and Straumann. In his spare time he likes the occasional hike or round of golf.

Dr  Aleem is a well-known cosmetic and restorative dentist. He is exceptionally qualified in Smile Design.

Dr Aleem qualified from Kings College London in 2003 with a BDS as well as a BSc. He carried out his vocational training at Smiledent underneath Dr Patel. Dr Aleem however has more of an interest in the restorative and cosmetic side of dentistry. To facilitate this he has been a member of the AACD for the past 5 years attending their annual conference in the USA on a regular basis. Dr Aleem has furthered his understanding in occlusion and restorative dentistry by attending the renowned Pankey essentials continuum in Miami, USA. Since then he has managed to obtain a certificate in restorative dentistry at Eastmans Dental Institute. He recently completed a three month aesthetic continuum at UCLA in Los Angeles California and was trained by leaders in the field of aesthetic dentistry. This is a unique and invaluable experience which has led to him focussing on cosmetic dentistry and using the latest equipment and techniques to achieve amazing results Dr Aleem has also gained qualifications in other sections of cosmetic dentistry: clear-step orthodontics, [Treatment name removed] and fillers. This has lead to him being shortlisted for Smile Awards 2012. His willingness to expand his knowledge to all forms of cosmetic dentistry, he has also completed a years training in implant dentistry at the tatum institute, being trained by one of the pioneers of dental implants Dr Hilt Tatum. In his spare time Dr Aleem prefers to ski or play golf and is a keen traveller.

Jiten graduated in 2002. As a result of his outstanding performance during his undergraduate training, he was offered one of only three places on the full-time residency in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery which he successfully completed and received his postgraduate MDS from the University of Gujarat in 2004.

Jiten came to the UK in 2005 and completed his conversion exams while working at the Royal Salford Hospital in Manchester. Jiten joined Smiledent in 2006 and is loved by his patients for his empathetic and personal approach. He believes in treating patients as individuals and not just treating teeth.

Jiten enjoys giving back to his profession and to this end, sits on the Local Dental Committee. He has held a clinical tutorship in Oral Surgery at the prestigious Kings College Dental Institute and also been an Educational Supervisor for the London Deanery for the period 2011-2016. Jiten has an interest in advanced restorative treatments using dental implants and using the latest technology in digital dentistry such as 3D printing and CAD CAM milling.

Jiten believes his patients deserve the best and continues to strive to provide the best level of care. 

Jiten has a keen interest in continual professional development and continues to attend various courses and conferences around the world. To further his interest and passion in Implant dentistry, in 2013 Jiten commenced the Diploma in Implant Dentistry at the Royal College of Surgeons of England. This diploma is considered the gold standard in Dental implant training and is one of the few dentists to be awarded the Advanced Certificate on successful completion of the Diploma.

Orthodontist & Facial Aesthetics

Dr Christina Evaghoras was educated locally before studying dentistry at Guy’s Hospital. Christina qualified as a dentist in 1997. In the year that followed she worked at Guy’s gaining further experience in maxillofacial surgery, children’s dentistry and oral Medicine. A year in general practice was then followed by further experience in surgery and orthodontics. Christina’s passion for orthodontics earned her a place on the specialist training course at Guy’s Hospital.

She completed her Masters in Orthodontics from the University of London in 2003, and in 2004 gained the Membership in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons of England. Since then Christina has worked in a specialist practice, providing orthodontic care to both children and adults. A number of years working with children with special needs and anxiety in a dedicated clinic have further enhanced her skills.

Christina aims to provide the best results for her patients, whether their problems are simple or complex. Adults and children alike are treated with up to date, evidence based orthodontics, including “invisible” or ceramic braces when appropriate.

Dr Claudia Brown is a qualified dentist and registered Specialist Periodontist with the General Dental council. She worked as a Specialist Clinical teacher at Guy’s Dental school as well as in Oral surgery at Kings College Dental Hospital. As a Specialist Periodontist lecturing nationally and internationally to dental professionals, schools and communities globally including a charity that empowers young girls. She also examines postgraduate dentists for the Royal College of Surgeons of England nationally and internationally.Claudia qualified from UMDS (Guy’s). Following that she carried out General Professional training (VT and honorary clinical assistantship posts in hospital oral surgery, restorative and orthodontic departments).

She has attained the Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgeons (MFDS) from the Royal College of surgeons of England, as well as Master of Science (MSc), Master of Clinical dentistry (MClin Dent) in Periodontology at Kings College London and Membership in Restorative dentistry (MRD) from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh with merit. Her MSc project was based on the association between periodontal disease and cardiovascular health-an investigation of circulating CRP in the peripheral blood of untreated periodontitis patients. This has led to her great interest in the association between oral and periodontal health.

As well as carrying out non-surgical and surgical periodontal treatment, she also places implants, uses diode laser and Waterlase and cone beam CT scanning as part of her periodontal management where appropriate.

Claudia was interviewed by Private Dentistry magazine two years ago. She has also recently contributed to a general health book for patients regarding oral health to be published in the UK and US and written various articles over the years. As a member of the African and Caribbean Dental Association (ACDA), she was part of the team that went to 10 Downing Street and discussed the importance of improving patient access to dentistry and the association between periodontal health and general health. Global health is paramount. She has also appeared in a television advert promoting vitamin supplement sprays that was aired in the US.

Kiren graduated with Honours from King’s College London in 2014 and obtained her diploma of membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery at the Royal College of Edinburgh (MFDS RCS Ed.) in 2016. She subsequently successfully completed her 4-year specialist training programme in Endodontology qualifying with distinction, from King’s College London Dental Institute. She has also been awarded the Membership in Endodontics by the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh.

Kiren enjoys keeping up to date with the latest advances in her field and is passionate about continually evolving as a clinician to provide high quality endodontic care for her patients. Her friendly and compassionate nature coupled with her experience enable her patients to feel at ease during root canal treatment.

Dental Hygienist, Nurse and Therapist

Sonia Nestorowicz is a dental hygienist, dental nurse and dental therapist. From a very young age, she developed a keen interest in dentistry which led her on becoming a dental nurse for six years. Sonia undertook an Access Course to HE in Medicine and Biomedical science which helped her progress onto a bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene and Therapy at Newcastle University. She continuously developed her professional career in dentistry and expanded her skill set and qualifications.

Sonia worked in various NHS and private practices in the Midlands and London helping to put patients at ease during treatment. One of these practices was The Kensington Clinic,our sister practice in central London.

She worked alongside one of our principal dentists, Dr Sheraz Aleem. Sonia was responsible to provide chairside support during various treatments, which included implant placement, smile design and orthodontics. Dental nursing has helped her gain a deeper understanding into all facets of the dental profession.

Sonia’s nursing experience has also contributed to her knowledge and skills to provide high quality dental hygiene treatments.

For over two years she has been performing dental hygiene and dental therapy to hospital patients. This was part of her Bachelor’s degree training. She takes pride in being able to have 100% retention rate due to her immaculate patient approach.

She is highly enthusiastic about dental health and educating patients about personal dental care and hygiene using current preventative techniques. Sonia believes in friendly and informative approach, she would often go beyond her duties to ensure her patients have a pleasant experience before, during and after the treatment.

Her next goal is to further her skill set by completing courses in facial aesthetics, orthodontic therapy, tooth whitening and composite bonding.

Beata graduated from the University Of Technology in Poland with a Masters’s Degree in Marketing & Management in 2002. After a period of working in this field in Poland, she decided to pursue her keen interest in Dentistry and then she qualified as a dental hygienist from the University of Opole in 2014. Ever since then Beata has been actively practicing hygiene treatments in specialist private practices. Beata enjoys working with all our patients to help improve their oral hygiene and smile.

She believes that active communication with her patients is the most effective way to help them achieve excellent oral hygiene. She is passionate to listen to her patients’ concerns and to find a solution that fit their lifestyle. She is very professional and experienced in hygiene, dedicated to provide patients’ comfort during her procedures.

Beata has developed excellent skills in her field and always ensures she used the latest equipment and systems to perform general hygiene and Airflow Polish.
