Robin Beveridge is our principal dentist and owner of “City Dental Clinic” and has a particular interest in “Smile design” and cosmetic dentistry using the latest tooth matched all ceramic restorations and invisible aligners such as “Invisalign”. Robin has over 30 years experience of dentistry in the city and is a member of the American (AACD) and British Academies of Cosmetic dentistry (BACD) and Association of Dental Implantology (ADI) amongst other dental organisations. In the last year he has spent a week in Washington at the “AACD” annual conference and multiple update courses on “Invisalign” and the new “Fastbraces” to the UK. This is a reflection of his commitment to the many hours spent each year that he devotes here and abroad to the all important continuing professional development needed to be able to deliver the latest developments in dentistry to his patients. Since qualification the chronology of his main professional achievements are as follows: 1979 - Qualified with BDS at the Royal Dental School of Dental Surgery. Awarded Stephen D Hey prize for excellence in restorative dentistry. 1980 - Obtained LDSRCS. Started working as an associate dentist in the City of London in Fleet Street and then the old “City Dental Clinic” City Road premises until 1985. 1985 - Became a joint partner with Dr G Spero. 1986 - Formed City Dental Clinic in premises at 5-11 Worship Street. 1997 - Completed 1 year Dental Implant Course London and became member of ADI (Association of Dental Implantology) 2002 - Became sole owner of City Dental Clinic. 2004 - Relocated City Dental Clinic into our current premises at 35 Chiswell Street. 2005 - Became full member of BACD (British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry) 2006 - Took on surgery 3 specialist in dental implants and endodontics Founder member of City Dentists “Groucho Club”. 2007 - Joined AACD (American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry). Gained “Investors in People” recognition for City Dental Clinic. 2008 - Became Clearstep advanced practitioner. Became Invisalign registered practitioner. 2011 - BDA Good Practice scheme awarded. Took on Dr Paul Begley specialist prosthodontist to be able to offer complex restorative/implant cases. 2012 - CQC registered practice acceptance. 2013 - Became Gold Invisalign provider. Specialist Prosthodontist Paul qualified in Dentistry at Liverpool in 1980, and subsequently held a series of posts in both dental schools and general hospitals. He gained his Dental Fellowship qualification from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow in 1984, studied full-time at Eastman Dental Hospital, London, from 1984 to 1986, and was awarded the degree ‘Master of Science in Conservative Dentistry’ in 1986. He lectured in Restorative Dentistry full time at the University of Leeds from 1987 to 1992, where he completed specialist training in Restorative Dentistry. He gained entry to General Dental Council Specialist Register in Restorative Dentistry, open to dentists eligible to hold hospital consultant posts, at its inception. Paul has previously lectured for Astra Tech dental implant system that is one of the top implant systems used in the UK. Paul completed the Eastman Dental Hospital extended teaching course in Implant Dentistry in 1999, and has since treated many patients, both at City Dental Clinic and as part of a hospital based specialist multi-disciplinary team. Paul is receiving referrals from local dentists over a wide area for specialist dental treatment here at City Dental Clinic.
