BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery), PgDip Dental Implantology, MSc Endodontology. A member of the British Endodontic Society, the International Team for Implantology, the Association of Dental Implantology UK and the British Dental Association. He is committed to developing a centre of excellence for private dental care at Cottingham Dental Practice. His experience and knowledge of different techniques and approaches inform his methods. He helps his patients access the best solutions to maintain their own teeth, before exploring the potential benefits of implants and dentures if needed. He graduated in dentistry from the University of Manchester (1986), and is the first dentist in East Yorkshire to have a Masters degree in Endodontology from the University of Chester (2013) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Dental Implantology from the University of Central Lancashire (2015). He is on the teaching staff of SimplyEndo and the University of Chester, and also enjoys delivering workshops and lectures to dental colleagues in the Hull area.

BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) A member of the British Dental Association John graduated in dentistry from Newcastle University (1989), and has extensive experience of working in general practice in the Channel Islands and North Yorkshire. He describes himself as “a proud generalist” and has built a reputation for quality, patient-centred dentistry delivered with compassion. He is a life-long railway enthusiast and is a member of the North Yorkshire Moors’ Railway Wagon Group at Pickering. He enjoys spending his spare time helping to restore and maintain the railway's wagon fleet. He is available one day a week (Thursday) at the practice.
