About Beechwood Dental Practice

An established family practice

Beechwood Dental has been providing high quality dental care to the communities of Boscombe and Bournemouth since the 1940s. We are a long-established family practice with a first class reputation and this is something we are keen to uphold.

The beauty of having a small, genuinely friendly team is that we get to know our patients, their families -and their mouths – very well. We pride ourselves on our modern approach but we never forget that traditional patient care and comfort is paramount.

New patients

Patients who are new to us will be delighted to experience thorough unhurried appointments and tailored dental care. Please allow up to 30 minutes for your new patient appointment, which gives your dentist, DrAnthony Inman, the time he needs to make a full assessment.

During this consultation your past dental and medical histories will be discussed, as well as your aspirations for the future care of your mouth. We will carry out a detailed examination of your mouth, including your teeth, gums, soft tissues and jaw joints. Also included are any necessary x-rays.

A detailed treatment plan will then be prepared, which will include a breakdown of the cost of any treatment, should it be required.

Caring for all

Our practice is calm, relaxing and welcoming, making it ideal for people of all ages, particularly nervous patients who will feel reassured by seeing the same dentist at every visit. If you are anxious about visiting the dentist, you will welcome our conservative procedures, which include ‘no drill dentistry’.

Our treatments

Our everyday dentistry and hygiene therapy will help you maintain healthy teeth for life. We also offer a range of advanced treatments such as fast acting orthodontics and facial aesthetics.

"Would highly recommend"

Treatment Received: Six Month Smiles™
Superb dentist and staff!. Would highly recommend .Have just completed my six month smiles treatment at Beechwood Dental and am absolutely thrilled with the results. It's quite a scary thing to do at 33 and a fairly new treatment to have fixed braces which claim to have such rapid results. I had braces on the top and bottom of my teeth and the results are incredible. I'm absolutely thrilled! Started in February and had them removed 8 months later. To complete my smile I also had free whitening. Thank you Anthony.

if im suitable it will cost from £1250.00 for the aligner (not fully sure until next visit about price)
and £75.00 for a fixed wire retainer after treatment so that your teeth will stay in place. half of this payment needs to be paid before the treatment starts then the rest at then end of the treatment. the dentist also discussed the likehood of having to file between my teeth to make some space in my mouth, but ill know more by next week. hope this is helpful

Biography:

Principal dentist  BDS (U.Lond) 1984 LDS RCS (Eng) ,DPDS (Bristol)

GDC Reg no. 59684

I qualified as a dentist in 1984, having trained for five years at King's College Hospital School of Medicine and Dentistry. I started my professional career working in the field of oral and maxillo-facial surgery in a number of hospitals in the south of England before going into general practice.

I spent five years as a principal in Oxford before moving Bournemouth in 1992. I initially worked at Beechwood Dental as an associate dentist before becoming the principal dentist.

I attend many post graduate courses in order to keep up with latest developments and innovations in dentistry. I have developed a further interest in cosmetic dentistry, especially adult orthodontics and facial rejuvenation and I am an Associate Member of the European Society of Aesthetic Orthodontists.

I am married with four sons and outside dentistry I enjoy a busy family life and playing the saxophone. I am actively involved in my local Rotary Club and like to support the charity Dentaid. In 2015 I was lucky enough to travel with them to Uganda to provide much needed dental care.
