I was dissatisfied with my experience at this clinic and felt that several aspects of my treatment and aftercare did not meet my expectations.
After posting a low-rating review regarding concerns about my treatment, I was informed that my treatment warranty would no longer apply. I also received numerous WhatsApp messages discussing my concerns and possible solutions. This left me feeling frustrated and uncertain about how my concerns were being addressed.
In my case, I received 19 veneers and 1 crown. Two months after treatment, I was still experiencing significant pain when eating and drinking. The clinic described this as temporary sensitivity, but the discomfort remained ongoing and was affecting my daily life.
Some of the issues I experienced included:
Appointments were consistently delayed. During every visit, I waited between 30 minutes and 2 hours before being seen. On some occasions, the dentist left the room during my appointment to attend to other patients.
Communication was handled through a translator. In the evening, my veneers were fitted, I sent a message with a photograph showing that one veneer appeared misaligned. I later learned that this information had not been passed on. On my final day in Istanbul, I raised the issue but was told that a replacement veneer could not be made because my treatment period had ended.
My retainer was removed during treatment. This was not mentioned in the treatment plan provided before my visit and was only discussed once I was already at the clinic. As a result, I had to pay for a replacement retainer after returning to Portugal.
During my final appointment, I felt the treatment was rushed. The spaces between some teeth were not sufficiently opened to allow proper use of dental floss, and I did not receive instructions on flossing. I later received this guidance from my dentist in Portugal.
Since completing treatment, I have continued to experience significant sensitivity in all of my treated teeth. Although I was advised that this can be normal, I was not given a clear indication of how long it might last.
Patients should also be aware that if follow-up treatment is required, travel and related expenses may be their own responsibility.
Overall, my concerns relate to communication, appointment management, aftercare information, ongoing sensitivity, and the practical challenges of obtaining follow-up treatment after returning home
