Fikret Genc
Biography:
Born in Adana in 1975 as the first child of a dentist father and a pharmacist mother, Fikret Genç‘s journey into the world of dentistry began at a young age, shaped by his familial roots in healthcare. He laid the foundation for his academic pursuits at Hayriye Kemal Kusun primary school and continued his education at Adana Anatolian High School for his secondary studies.
Driven by a passion for advancing his expertise, Fikret Genç completed a PhD in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Ankara University’s Faculty of Dentistry in 2009. Prior to that, he earned a doctorate (DDS) from Istanbul University’s Faculty of Dentistry where he studied from 1995 to 2000. In 2008, he attained the distinguished title of medical doctor upon the completion of his thesis on orthognathic surgery, marking a significant milestone in his academic journey. The Turkish Ministry of Health recognized his dedication and expertise by granting him specialty status in Maxillofacial Surgery in the same year.
Throughout his educational tenure, Fikret Genç demonstrated a commitment to comprehensive learning by undergoing rigorous training in various medical disciplines. At Ankara University Faculty of Medicine İbn-i Sina Hospital, he immersed himself in a diverse range of departments, including Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery, Ear Nose and Throat, General Surgery, and Anesthesiology and Reanimation, enhancing his skills and knowledge base.
Today, Fikret Genç’s passion for academia and patient care converge as he fulfills his role as a lecturer at Üsküdar University, imparting his wealth of experience and expertise to the next generation of dental professionals. In addition to his academic endeavors, he co-founded Gencdental in 2016, where he serves as a dedicated maxillofacial surgeon, providing compassionate and high-quality care to his patients.

Orthognathic surgery and facial reconstruction training in Singapore in 2013
In 2014, bone transplantation training was given to patients who could not receive implants due to advanced bone insufficiency at the Interdisciplinary Dental Education Academy in the USA and in Munster, Germany with Prof. Fouad Khoury.
Immediate implant applications training in the aesthetic region in Sweden in 2015,
All-on-4 and zygoma implants training in Germany in 2016,
dermal filler training with Dr. David Taylor at Knightsbridge Academy in England in 2017,
In 2018 in Spain, zygomatic implant training with Dr. Carlos Aparicio.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Fikret Genç finds joy and balance in his personal life. He is happily married and enjoys indulging in windsurfing, snowboarding, and music, finding inspiration and relaxation in these pursuits outside the realm of dentistry.
