Filled a hole in my teeth near a nerve

I filled my teeth. While they told me the hole in my teeth is very near to the nerve and they recommend me to treat with root Canal therapy, however the fee is really expensive. Therefore I refused.

Their attitude was good. They told me I will feel pain after the filling since the sensitive nerve. The thing is true and I feel pain everyday when I eat something hot. However, I hope the dentist can do their best in the future.
