Dr. Guevara practices exclusively for
the medical tourism from around the world that travel to Mexico to receive high
quality dental treatment. Dr. Guevara and his team of dental
professionals continue to take advanced training in various aspects of General
and Cosmetic dentistry. Creator and Dental Director of I LOVE MY DENTIST, Dr.
Guevara was born in Mexicali, Mexico. He received his dental degree from UABC
in 1991. In 1996 Dr. Guevara moved to Boston, MA where he first studied English
as a second language at Harvard University; and after sometime of hard work and
dedication Dr. Guevara was fortunate enough to work for over ten years as the
Associate Dental Director for the Codman Square Health Center in Dorchester,
MA. While in Boston, Dr. Guevara became Faculty for Boston University, Tufts
University and served as the Dental Director for the prestigious Advance
Education in General Dentistry Residency program also at the Codman Square
Health Center. From 2008 to 2012, Dr. Guevara also served as the Dental
Director of the Mobile Dental Program at the Tech Boston Academy.
Over his career in Boston, MA; Dr.
Guevara received multiple awards:
In 2009, Dr. Guevara received a Citation
from the city of Boston for “The outstanding, innovative commitment and dedication
to the students of the Dorchester Education Complex.”
Also in 2009, Dr. Guevara received The
Outstanding Clinician Award presented by the DentaQuest Foundation, the
Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the Massachusetts Coalition of Community
Health Centers.
In 2011, Dr. Guevara received the Oral
Health Hero Award.
And recently in 2012, Dr. Guevara was
nominated to receive the Robert Wood Johnson Community Health Leader Award for
all the years providing dental treatment to patients from the Boston Home, a
not-for-profit, nursing-care facility for adults with physical disabilities,
primarily multiple sclerosis and other progressive neurological disorders.
Dr. Guevara has devoted his professional
career to all aspects of Periodontics, Prosthodontics, Implant and General
Dentistry. While using his training to treat patients with all types of
dental needs, he has particular interest in the integration of periodontal,
prosthetic and implant dentistry as they relate to the restoration of a single
tooth or an entire dentition. To keep abreast of the latest developments in
this same areas, Dr. Guevara attends many continuing education courses and
symposia and has received additional certification in INVISALIGN.
Dr. Guevara is married to Claudia with
whom they have 3 children; Sofia, Natalia & Alejandro.
