She is a dental surgeon who graduated from the Dental School at the Nacional Autonomous University of Nuevo Leon in 1990. In 1996 she obtained a Master’s Degree in Dental Sciences with a Specialization in Periodontics from the same university. She conducted scientific research in coordination with the Research Department of Indiana University. This research was published in the Journal of Periodontology. She has attended and presented at conferences in Mexico and in the United States. Since finishing her postgraduate degree she got a certification with high marks from the Mexican Council of Periodontics. Dr. Rodriguez keeps abreast in her profession by assisting at national and international conferences in her specialty. She is an active member of Colegio de Odontólogos de Matamoros, Asociación de Egresados del Posgrado de Periodoncia de la UANL, Colegio Dental Tamaulipeco, Asociación Dental Mexicana and American Academy of Periodontology.
