All the work was done at one visitFiona, Ireland, 12 12 22

My son Matthew was extremely nervous of dentists. He needed an extraction and a filling done. He couldn’t even tolerate a routine clean and polish job being done . Previous attempts to have work done by other dentists failed. We booked a consultation with Conor, he listened to Matthew and reassured him it's okay to be nervous and that he could help him. He recommended IV sedation for Matthew, which I can only say worked so well on the day. All the work was done at one visit, Connor and Lorna were brilliant with Matthew, I can only highly recommend Conor and the team for nervous patients, 10 out of 10. Book an appointment today you won’t be disappointed.

Dental Crowns from €550
How much does a crown cost?  From € 550 depending on the material used. This is tax allowable. A crown is a protective outer shell or cover that fits over the remaining part of a prepared tooth, making it strong and giving it the shape of a natural tooth. A crown (sometimes known as a cap) is used where teeth are badly decayed or broken, or where a tooth is very heavily filled and may lack strength. The tooth is prepared, any decay removed and restored and an impression is then taken. A dental technician then precisely fabricates a crown to fit snugly over the prepared tooth.

A crown is a tooth-shaped cover placed over a tooth that is badly damaged or decayed. A crown is made to look like your tooth. Many people call it a cap. Crowns may be placed for several reasons. Usually the tooth has been broken or damaged a great deal by decay. As a result, a filling cant replace enough of the tooth or make the tooth strong enough. A crown may hold together parts of a cracked tooth. It also can be used to hold a bridge in place. Crowns can be used to improve appearance as well. They may be placed to cover misshapen or badly discolored teeth. Crowns can be made ahead of time (prefabricated) or made to order in a laboratory. Prefabricated crowns are made of plastic or stainless steel. They can be used on a temporary basis until a permanent crown is made. Since a dental crown that has been cemented into place essentially becomes the new outer surface for the tooth, it is easy to imagine how the placement of a crown can restore a tooth to its original shape. Its also easy to see how a dental crown can help to strengthen a tooth by way of being a hard outer shell that encases the tooth structure that lies within it. For both of these reasons, dental crowns are routinely made for teeth that have broken, worn excessively, or else have had large portions destroyed by tooth decay. The dentist will prepare the tooth to the ideal shape for the crown. This will involve removing most of the outer surface, and leaving a strong inner core. The amount of the tooth removed will be the same as the thickness of the crown. For more information, see our CEREC restorations above.
Gold Crown
Some dental crowns are made entirely of metal. The classic metal dental crown is one made of gold, or more precisely a gold alloy. Over the decades a variety of different metal alloys have been used in making dental crowns. Some of these metals are silver in color rather than yellow like gold. Having a gold dental crown made can be an excellent choice. Here are some reasons why: Because of its physical properties, dentists find gold to be a very workable metal. This characteristic helps a dentist to be able to achieve a very precise fit with the crown.Since they are metal through and through, gold crowns withstand biting and chewing forces well. They will not chip. It would be uncharacteristic for a gold crown to break. Of all of the types of dental crowns, gold crowns probably have the greatest potential for lasting the longest.Although they are very strong, the wear rate of a gold crown is about the same as tooth enamel. This means that a gold dental crown wont create excessive wear on the teeth it opposes (the teeth it bites against).Metal dental crowns are usually placed on those teeth that are not overly visible when a person smiles (i.e., molars).

I couldn’t imagine going anywhere elseAshling, Ireland, 03 12 21

I am petrified of the dentist, but Geraldine and her team always go above and beyond to ensure that I am as comfortable as possible, and all of their work is done to the highest standard. I had a procedure performed by Dr. Haitham Bashara (who also done a remarkable job and was very reassuring, highly recommend if you’re anyway anxious at the dentist) Dr. Honan understands needles are incredibly stressful for me and offered to give me the local anaesthetic needed for the procedure, (as over the years I had grown comfortable with her administrating a needle) before passing me to Dr Bashara, which she didn’t have to do, but she went above and beyond to make a less stressful experience for me, which was greatly appreciated. The day after my procedure I emailed the clinic asking a question about aftercare and Geraldine rang me very soon after. The dental nurses I usually come into contact with, Josephine and Sandra are amazing, very friendly, and very compassionate. I also mainly come into contact with Helen and Josephine in the front office who are also amazing at their jobs, they’re very quick to answer the phone and are very good at getting you an appointment for as soon as possible. Other staff in the clinic are also very nice and will always greet you, regardless if you’re their patient or not. In my opinion, the clinic is good value for money because they do an amazing job for an amazing price, I’ve never left disappointed. I can’t think of anywhere else that prioritises customer service like here. Overall I would recommend bridge View Dental, I couldn’t imagine going anywhere else.
