South Kildare Dental Clinic

Monread Dental, Monread Leisure Complex, Monread Avenue, Naas
Rating from 2 Reviews Excellent, would highly recommend.Elizabeth, Ireland, 08 Feb 17

I had been traveling to newry for several years due to high cost of dentistry work in republic, but as I was now only going for regular cleaning I felt it was not cost effective any longer and my teeth were still not looking too good. For convenience I decided to try Monread dental and I am really pleased with this choice. Dr o Brien has done amazing work on my teeth by filling small fissures that was causing stains to build up in same. Also did cosmetic work on bottom teeth that had become badly worn by filling back of same . I feel I can smile again without been embarrassed . His soda blasting for cleaning teeth has revolutionised teeth cleaning

Rating from 1 Review It was worth the money and the treatment workedMartin, South Africa, 09 Feb 18

I chose the Periodontal Suite because of their good online reviews. I had a periodontitis treatment done with them. It was worth the money and the treatment worked. After my treatment, I had three follow-up visits. The staff was always friendly and courteous.

Rating from 13 Reviews Glad to entrust them with the health of my smile.Robert, Ireland, 13 Feb 15

The staff were courteous, helpful, understanding, compassionate, & respectful. Dr. McGovern, despite having a loaded schedule made room for me to be seen, and discovered a filling from when I was I child had cracked & broken exposing my nerve. Upon diagnosis requiring a root canal, I was treated & provided a temporary after drilling out the root and given a prescription for antibiotics to clear up the infection I had developed in my nerve, having waited too long before seeking Dr. McGovern's & Dr. Haughey's fine care. Glad to entrust them with the health of my smile. Why would anyone go anywhere else?.

Gold Crown
Some dental crowns are made entirely of metal. The classic metal dental crown is one made of gold, or more precisely a gold alloy. Over the decades a variety of different metal alloys have been used in making dental crowns. Some of these metals are silver in color rather than yellow like gold. Having a gold dental crown made can be an excellent choice. Here are some reasons why: Because of its physical properties, dentists find gold to be a very workable metal. This characteristic helps a dentist to be able to achieve a very precise fit with the crown.Since they are metal through and through, gold crowns withstand biting and chewing forces well. They will not chip. It would be uncharacteristic for a gold crown to break. Of all of the types of dental crowns, gold crowns probably have the greatest potential for lasting the longest.Although they are very strong, the wear rate of a gold crown is about the same as tooth enamel. This means that a gold dental crown wont create excessive wear on the teeth it opposes (the teeth it bites against).Metal dental crowns are usually placed on those teeth that are not overly visible when a person smiles (i.e., molars).
Dental Crowns €700 - €950
A crown is a tooth-shaped cover placed over a tooth that is badly damaged or decayed. A crown is made to look like your tooth. Many people call it a cap. Crowns may be placed for several reasons. Usually the tooth has been broken or damaged a great deal by decay. As a result, a filling cant replace enough of the tooth or make the tooth strong enough. A crown may hold together parts of a cracked tooth. It also can be used to hold a bridge in place. Crowns can be used to improve appearance as well. They may be placed to cover misshapen or badly discolored teeth. Crowns can be made ahead of time (prefabricated) or made to order in a laboratory. Prefabricated crowns are made of plastic or stainless steel. They can be used on a temporary basis until a permanent crown is made. Since a dental crown that has been cemented into place essentially becomes the new outer surface for the tooth, it is easy to imagine how the placement of a crown can restore a tooth to its original shape. Its also easy to see how a dental crown can help to strengthen a tooth by way of being a hard outer shell that encases the tooth structure that lies within it. For both of these reasons, dental crowns are routinely made for teeth that have broken, worn excessively, or else have had large portions destroyed by tooth decay. The dentist will prepare the tooth to the ideal shape for the crown. This will involve removing most of the outer surface, and leaving a strong inner core. The amount of the tooth removed will be the same as the thickness of the crown. For more information, see our CEREC restorations above.

Dr Brendan Glass & Associates - Maynooth

Ryebank House, Dublin Road, Maynooth
Rating from 24 Reviews I’ll go back if I need dental care in the futureShannen, Ireland, 22 Apr 18

Dr Brenden Glass filled my tooth for me. I chose him because his practice is close by. I was quoted after my appointment and it was definitely good value for money. The clinic was great. All the staff were nice and professional, and I felt like I could talk to them about anything. I didn’t have any follow-ups with this particular procedure, but I’ll go back if I need dental care in the future.

Cerec crowns made in one visit have replaced the need for impressions, temporary crowns and waiting for weeks. Cerec crowns fit up to four times more accurately than traditional crowns reducing the risk of decay. Revolutionary eMax porcelain for crowns and onlays is three times stronger than normal porcelain. Cerec restorations have the second longest life expectancy of any dental restoration studied. With modern developments Cerec should last longer than any other restoration.

Rating from 20 Reviews Highly recommendMarie, Ireland, 25 Apr 16

We had the lingual frenectomy done by laser on our 21 month old son. Not many practices will cut the tongue tie over a child of 1. They carried out the procedure without having to put him through general anaesthetic. First class clinic with first class staff. From the very first phone call to the consult and treatment they were amazing. Highly recommend. If anyone has any doubts just go for a consult and they will be put at ease with their professionalism.
