Bonding is the quickest, lease invasive, and cheapest option for reshaping teeth. The bonding is applied in layers and sculpted by the dentist. Bonding can be used to reshape teeth, repair chips and to lenghten teeth. It is quick and painless and produces natural looking highly polished teeth.
Bridges fills the gap created by one or more missing teeth. A bridge is made up of two crowns for the teeth on either side of the gap and a false tooth/teeth in between, and is supported by natural teeth or implants.

A crown is fabricated in the lab and is made of gold bonded to porcelain or all porcelain. this is used to protect the tooth that is root treated or to protect large fillings from getting cracks.
The biting surface of back teeth have many crevices and grooves running across them. these are called fissures. Food and bacteria can become trapped in these and eventually cause decay. To reduce the risk of decay the fissures can be sealed using a special plastic. This is a great introduction to children getting their first treatment.

Chris qualified from the Dublin Dental Hosptial in 1981. He practised in London from 1982 to 1989 in general practice to develop a full range of dental skills, including looking after very nervous patients. In 1989 he returned to Dublin and practised in the Eastern Health Board Children’s Dental clinics until 1997, developing a wide experience in providing high quality dental care for young children. He established Kilbarrack Dental Care in 1997 with the aim of providing high quality dental care for all the family in a relaxed and friendly enviroment. He continues to keep up post grad training with an interest in cosmetic dentisry. He is married with three children and is a keen sportsman with a passion for football. He enjoys eating out and travel.
Connie trained in London Kings College Dental Hospital and qualified as a dental nurse in 1980. In London she gained wide experience working full time in private dental practices and later in Ealing Health Anthority community dental services until 1989. She moved to Dublin in 1989 and worked in the Dublin Dental Hospital and later in private practice. She combines her role as a dental nurse in Kilbarrack Dental Care with the role of practice Co Ordinator. She is a keen promoter of preventive dental care and patient awareness of healthy gums and teeth.
Carina is the happy smiling receptionist who welcome you at reception. Carina is from Donaghmede and has been with the practice since 2007. She is very friendly, helpful and a great team worker. In 2008 She took a break for 6 months to travel in the Far East, Australia and the States. Carina will be furthering her nursing skills with continuing education in Dubllin Dental Hospital in the evening.
Jazzy studied dental nursing in 2007 in Marino college and joined the practice in 2009. Her great anticipation and excellent chairside skills has been invaluable to all the dentists in the practice.
