Hello, I’m Claus; ‘the German Dentist! I thought you might like to know a little about my background.
When I finished school and military service, I studied and
graduated as a Dental Technician. I later graduated from Georg-August
University in Gottingen in 1984 as a Dental Surgeon.
After two years as a junior Dental Doctor, I opened my own dental
practice not far from the city of Heidelberg. I ran the practice for
21years and during that time I continued broadening my dental horizons
by regularly attending postgraduate courses. As a result, I am
comfortable practicing many and varied types of dental treatment, from
the simplest to the most intricate and complex. I am particularly
interested in crowns, bridges, veneers, implants and all types of
I am well aware that most people do not really like attending the
dentist so it is always my aim to make patients as comfortable and
reassured as possible before and during treatment. I always treat
people as I would like to be treated myself and I always do what will
achieve the very best result for the patient.
I first visited Ireland on holiday in 1981. I have spent
numerous holidays here since and in 1992 first visited Donegal. It was
the beginning of a love affair. Finally, my wife, Petra and I decided
to move permanently to this lovely country and its wonderful people.
Since the end of 2007 we have lived in Lettermacaward and have never,
for one moment, regretted that decision.
My other interests include model railways, photography and
reading. I also enjoy getting together with friends for good food and
good conversation which occasionally allows me to indulge my other great
passion – cooking.
I look forward to meeting you soon.
