To begin with, it took me all my resolve to drag my scaredy feet to Dental Designs. The bad tooth was screaming 'Root Canal' and I had spent many a week trying to find excuses to postpone the dental check-up. But, finally, I knew it was time to face the inevitable. And, there I was, lying on 'the chair', prepared to be doomed. Dr Gins promised to do his best to save me any possible pain but I had been through too many RCTs to take his word for it. I, rather impatiently, waited and waited and waited for the pain to come. What was the point in delaying the horror anyway! But the pain never came. And before I knew it was all over. I had just sat through the first painless RCT of my life. Guess, that was also a good-bye to my dental blues.
The ambience of a dental clinic doesn't count much for many. But, for me, who has seen more dental clinics than I would've chosen to, the only thing I hate more than the horrors of the treatment itself is the waiting room of the clinic which would reek of all the scary thoughts associated with dental treatment. Dental Designs was a pleasant change for me. The small, tastefully done waiting room doesn't do anything to remind you that it is a dental clinic. Till you are called in, you can get lost in the blissful world of imagination and believe that it is a beauty treatment that awaits you at the end of the corridor. The doctor's room also, surprisingly, didn't smell like a typical dental clinic. Wonder how they manage that, though. But, anyday, I would call it a luxury to see a spotlessly clean dental clinic, with a pleasant ambience.
