Recently, Nov 2015 I had the 8 remaining teeth removed, 3 upper front and a random selection from the lower. Driven by the hopelessness of not being able to retain either dentures; upper and lower due to the lack of support when eating it was clear some other drastic remedy was needed. A turning point in one's life that can not be taken lightly. But, where does one go? who can you believe or, trust? And, at what price?
In my case I have had dental treatment in so many places world wide, either due to living or visiting there. At present I live in New Zealand. The cost of what I have just had is out of the question for a retired person of 76, just to have a full mouth x-ray to present for review to any oversea's clinic was $82. Among, Mexico, Panama, California, Thailand and the Philippines where I have had work done, I chose Chennai India. There are so many places throughout the world offering full mouth implant treatment today it is daunting!
Cost is perhaps the biggest consideration, type of implants and method come into it and frequency of this type of work performed. If you are using a strong currency then the exchange rate is important, if you do not want to return for a second treatment months away as some require necessary, the basil IHDE (Swiss) KOS titanium immediate loading system is available. This was my choice, where it was performed all in 8 days.
I am happy to say the original quotation given was exactly what I paid INR 750,000. Reading some comments from Indian Nationals on the web page of the company involved they feel some lesser treatment's were excessive? India is a poor country, but why do these Nationals go to Chennai from all over their country to be treated? Because it is the best value in India and they know the quality is good and honest, well if that is the case for them it was certainly in my case.
So cutting through the preamble, I had the following: The original quote was for installing 10 implants upper and 8 implants lower. Adding to that 14 zirconium teeth both upper and lower, total 28 teeth. As it turned out the 8 original teeth were deemed not worthy of keeping and removed an extra 1 implant was added to the upper and 2 full mouth x-rays were taken to determine root condition and implant consistency. None of this added work was charged for.
On the subject of trust and ability one has to read the testimonials and decide and I feel if someone is doing a lot of implants then they can only improve! Actually, not to take anything away from the implantologist he performed his technique in double quick time and I had no idea until seeing in a mirror that it was all done, so it was a routine procedure he does nearly everyday.
I hope this has been helpful to those who can not decide. Going to India is not for everyone and can involve more cost towards the travel than some may want to pay, the hotels are very good and very reasonable in defraying some costs.

These people went out of their way to make my treatment, accommodation and general needs including arrival and departure as easy as possible.
I have mentioned India is poor, perhaps that should be rephrased, Tamilnadu is poor.
This is not the flashy high priced dental surgery some other places present. however in the course of their very long working day a lot of patients pass through. It has everything required to do all the procedures they offer and is clean and up to date as most other facilities.
I have no doubts it was a good choise and recommend it to anyone reading this.
