She graduated from dental school first in her class and with a diploma grade "Excellent" (9). After finishing her undergraduate studies, she was awarded scholarships from the Institute of National Scholarships (IKY) and the Alexander Onassis Public Benefit Foundation to continue her studies in the USA. She did postgraduate studies in the field of Orthodontics at the New York University College of Dentistry.
She also received a Master's in Science degree from the same university, researching the in stages carcinogenesis in the oral cavity. This research was conducted at the New York Memorial Hospital.
