Chair side Cerec "CAD/CAM" restoration differs from conventional dentistry in that the  is typically luted or bonded the same day. Conventional prosthesis, such as crowns, have  placed from one to several weeks while a dental laboratory or in house dental lab produces the restoration. The patient returns later to have the temporaries removed and the laboratory-made crown cemented or bonded in place. An in-house CEREC "CAD/CAM" system enables the dentist to create a finished inlays, onlays, crowns or even bridges in as little as an hour in some cases.

In periodontitis, gums pull away from the teeth and formspaces (called “pockets”) that become infected. The body’s immune system fightsthe bacteria as the plaque spreads and grows below the gum line. Bacterialtoxins and the body’s natural response to infection start to break down thebone and connective tissue that hold teeth in place. If not treated, the bones,gums, and tissue that support the teeth are destroyed. The teeth may eventuallybecome loose and have to be removed. The main goal of treatment is to control the infection.
