Rating from 14 Reviews Impressed with all the positive reviewsNicos, Cyprus, 01 Jun 17

Had a broken tooth which exposed the old mercury filling. It happened 5 months ago in Spain. They wanted to either crown it or remove it and replace it with an implant. Last week we discovered Dr. Antonio through the internet and I was impressed with all the positive reviews he had. He corrected the damage with the minimum of fuss and did a couple of small fillings to my wife. We found our dentist for life. For 50 years I lived in England (London and Brighton) and also Spain (Malaga, Torremolinos). Now we live in Cyprus since 2012. Had many dentists in the three countries wanting to make a project of my and my wife's mouths ie: change all the old fillings, change crowns, crown new teeth, etc etc. None of that for Doctor Antonio. He even took the time to explain to us the reasons why it was not necessary and ill-advised to do any of these works. PERFECT TREATMENT WITH AFFORDABLE PRICES.

Kyriakides&Minas dental

Rating from 2 Reviews The clinic is modern & well equipped, and is centrally located & easily accessibleBarbara, Cyprus, 17 Nov 16

My sudden toothache turned out to have a rather serious cause & I ended up needing root-canal treatment, which Dr. Minas performed over three visits. Though I at first was somewhat apprehensive, I believe Dr. Minas is well trained, highly skilled & experienced in this complicated procedure, and I am very pleased with the result - he saved my tooth. The fee compares well with what other clinics charge for the same treatment. Having recently moved to Larnaca & finding myself in sudden need of a dentist, I was recommended Dr. Minas by several friends. Even though I was not a previous patient of Dr. Minas, he received me just a day after I called for an appointment. The clinic is modern & well equipped, and is centrally located & easily accessible. The waiting room is light & spacious, with a TV & an aquarium to calm the nerves, as well as a selection of reading material. The staff is polite, friendly & welcoming, while maintaining a professional attitude.

Dental Implants
What are they? A dental implant is an appliance used to replace the roots of teeth. The implant is surgically attached to the jaw bone and an artificial tooth is attached to the top of the implant, creating a natural looking, undetectable replacement for the missing tooth. In the event that more than one tooth is missing, several implants may provide a base for a series of artificial teeth known as a fixed bridge. Implants can even be used to secure a full set of removable dentures for people who have no remaining natural teeth. This can greatly improve chewing ability and reduce the risk of choking. Advantages: 1. Dental implants with artificial teeth are the closest thing to regrowing your natural teeth. 2. They are strong, stable, durable and virtually undetectable. 3. By filling gaps left by missing teeth, implants can provide better chewing ability and head off jaw joint problems. 4. They are far superior to removable dentures. Disadvantages: 1. Dental implants do require surgery and time to heal. 2. They are initially more expensive than dentures or fixed bridges. Procedure: First appointmentThe dentist will examine your teeth and determine whether implants are the solution to your dental problems, x-rays are necessary to discover the state of the jawbone, particularly if the teeth have been lost for some time. This information can be used to determine whether implants would work for you and, if so, what particular type of implant that would be best for your situation. Second appointmentUnder local anaesthesia, the first step for many implant procedures is the exposure of the bone where the implant is to be made. This is followed by placement of the implant into the exposed jawbone. Implants that are placed in the bone are called endosteal implants and are made of titanium or a titanium alloy because this metal does not adversely interact with biological ti
