He went above and beyond to ensure that everything went smoothly

5 50 All-on-4 Dental Implants

I had a full mouth restoration of upper and lower teeth.

Dr. Urzola was great! He went above and beyond to ensure that everything went smoothly. The Clinic was awesome and helped with various local things such as finding a Hotel. When we had arrived we could not find the office and he gave us directions and even flagged us down. Of course, the clinic does offer pickup and drop off but I wanted to explore.

I had X rays done and found out I still had an Impacted wisdom tooth under my gums we talked about my X-Ray and I asked if he could get rid of that as well and he said he would.

The surgery went great just about painless and he stitched everything up for form and to reduce bleeding. He immediately got started on fitting the new teeth after surgery. They took another X-Ray afterwards, no bone fragments no infections just the posts and jawbones.

After surgery care, they made sure that my recovery was smooth he even made sure I had aftercare products like a jaw ice pack, water pik, and oral care products and prescribed medication to prevent infection swelling and pain.

It took a couple of days to make the teeth with several aesthetic trials but they prioritize making sure that everything fits well and that you have a proper bite and take input colour as well.

But most of all they were very friendly and really care about their patients.

No longer will I hide my smile or shy away from social gatherings

5 50 Dental Crowns, Dental Bridges • Paid: $12000

I have suffered dental problems for the past 30 years and after several bad experiences in New Zealand and the UK, you can imagine I was hesitant to again travel from Canada to another country for dental work, let alone doing so at this point in the pandemic. But when I noticed that I was the only person that was actually very happy to wear a mask I realised it was time to act.

The work was daunting to me: I needed all lower jaw teeth removed for implants, and all but six upper teeth removed for crowns and bridges. Frankly, I doubted whether I'd ever have a nice smile again.

As soon as I arrived, Dr Urzola put me at ease and as the treatment began I very quickly realised I was in safe hands. He and his team treated me with warmth, kindness and empathy throughout my treatment, along with a very high level of professionalism and accuracy that I hadn't experienced before with other dentists, in my previous dental work.

Dr Urzola's ability in his work is first class excellent. I was so pleased to see his attention to the details of final colour and the way he and his team achieved the nicest profile of my new teeth while still maintaining my facial character.

Dr Urzola and his team have changed my life! My heartfelt thanks goes out to them all. No longer will I hide my smile or shy away from social gatherings (assuming we can all get together again at some point...). I very happily give the highest possible recommendation and five stars to Urzola Dentistry!

Pricing was extremely affordable and the service impeccable

"Change My Life"

Huge request to anyone, but, Dr Urzola and his people, did exactly that!
For the last two years, I have been without my upper teeth. Walking around without being able to face people, eat or speak properly has left me an outcast with my family, friends and the public. Having to come up with $35,000 here in the States for implants was something I could not achieve.

Going to Costa Rica and having Dr Urzola place implants and teeth, changed my dismal world. The cost travelling to Costa Rica was very inexpensive. Our hotel, outstanding! The Urzola facilities were modern & spotless, the staff professional and amazing and the country friendly, warm & beautiful. Pricing was extremely affordable and the service impeccable. If I could write a book about my experience, it would not shed all the positive light on my experience.

Thank you so much.

Wonderful, fabulous, professional and kind

5 50 Extractions, Dental Implants • Paid: $11000

There are not enough adjectives in Spanish and English combined to properly express how wonderful Dr Urzola and his staff are. Even before travelling to Costa Rica, Cristina and the doctor were in personal contact with us, taking time to explain not only everything from a dental and medical aspect but everything and anything we needed to facilitate a smooth and easy trip. From the minute we arrived until the day we left Dr. Urzola went out of his way to see to our comfort.

Our trip was originally just for my husband who had been without teeth for over a year. It changed his personality making him unsocial and depressed. I broke a visible tooth a week before our trip so I ended up needing work as well. I am a total coward, needing gas to get a cleaning. The procedure was a breeze. During the days to follow there was a bit of swelling and tenderness but nothing near what I feared after 3 extractions and four implants, 7 for my husband.

We met other Americans who travelled for the same purpose. They did even more research on the level of medical expertise and the doctor personally. There are several other doctors doing the same thing but none that even come close to measuring up to Dr Urzola, medically and personally.

If you are considering doing this...LOOK NO FURTHER! This is where you need to go. Wonderful, fabulous, professional and kind.

I couldn't be more pleased

5 50 Dental Implants

Before I begin, readers need to know that my family, friends, and associates know me as a chronically grumpy, cranky, loud critic. I've never been accused of handing out compliments lightly.

Years ago, my mouth, from what I was informed had absorbed some rare bacteria and become destroyed. It eventually became what can only be described as a "toxic dump." Not being wealthy, I researched (all-on-four implants for upper/lower) where I live, in Canada, the US (I'm a dual citizen), Argentina, Vietnam, Australia, etc., and of course, Mexico. I was extremely disappointed. I was evaluated locally with X-rays, etc., but then I'd be led into a tiny booth, and clearly, it was like I was buying some overpriced used car with not even a written statement of what I was going to receive. The obscene cost and their emotionally manipulative strategies were just plain offensive. I have modest savings. But mostly, I have no time for people I don't find trustworthy.

I began communicating with multiple dental clinics in CR (Costa Rica). 'One clinic stood out like a "four-leaf clover" -- Urzola Dentistry. The administrator went back and forth with me by email, answering very tough questions. He was straight up, no-nonsense, honest, and after a week or so, we came to a detailed agreement.

After flights, accommodations, travel insurance, and lots of rigamarole, I was met, as the clinic insisted, by someone with my name on a sign at the CR airport - 'good thing because San Jose driving is an "adventure." I smartly reserved a rental car for my third day. The very friendly driver took me to my accommodations that I made certain were within 15 minutes of the clinic.

The next day, I'm picked up again, and we arrive at the tall building across the street from San Jose stadium. The building security only allows medical personnel or patients. Everyone entering is also required to follow strict medical measures for the safety of all. I think, "Hmmm. 'A good start."

The driver escorts me up to the clinic. A wonderful lady, Adriana greets me. Shortly after, a man in scrubs comes out and introduces himself. Within seconds, I wish this guy was my next-door neighbor. He's real - genuinely friendly. No BS. It's Doctor Urzola.

He takes me into the surgery room, and I get a detailed, thorough run-through of the next day/week schedule. He answers every pesky question I have. I am getting more relieved. Maybe, this won't wind up being something I deeply regret. I meet his very courteous, obviously very competent assistants, the same Adriana, and also Francheska. All three are making me feel more confident right away. It's not some Kumbaya.

Everything is in the same building. Yes, just like the commercials you see on TV for other implant companies, the ones that charge a fortune.

The Anesthetist prefers I not only not eat anything but also no fluids for 12 hours. It's unusual, and yet, again, I'm quite impressed. My medical safety is their first priority. 'Excellent.

The next day I'm picked up and arrive for surgery. All the equipment is completely state of the art. Without even asking, Doc Urzola shows me my three-dimensional X-rays. Crazy accurate. And then, he demonstrates how he can take every single section of both upper and lower jaws where he is able to know exactly where he can place the metal inserts. He explains, while I watch, what length/width of insert he can choose for each particular section - the lines he draws display minute measurements. I have taught complicated software at a major University in Canada. I see Dr Urzola show off this software, specifically with my 3D image, and I am utterly impressed. The jaw inserts are what the implants will be secured to.

It's time. I am monitored, with all equipment throughout that you would find in any hospital - pulse-ox, BP, etc., by the Anesthetist who gives me sedation. This is when the Doc and his team do what they do - focus like a laser and do their magic. I like professionals who know what they’re doing and just use the years of experience, along with a clear commitment to complete the mission. For a sceptic like me, I know I am in excellent hands.

When done, a couple of hours or so, I am ready to chill and driven back to my accommodations. There's a reason for that. Don't believe that nonsense on TV commercials of "done in one day." This dental clinic intelligently spans the first process over 4/5 days.

It's normal to go through a few days of some swelling. The Doc has gone over with me what antibiotics supplied (if needed), mild yet quite efficient pain killers for a few days. 'Normal. He's very detailed. Trust him. Follow his advice.

The next day I discover, to my delight, examples of the prosthetics - teeth. They are stunningly natural-looking. Doc Urzola works with me closely, and he was right to convince me on a specific shade that matched my skin colour, and so forth. Perfect.

A couple of days later, I get a temporary implant put in. Amazing. I get the next week off, head to the coast at a beautiful guest house, then come into the clinic on my airline travel back day for a final check and any adjustments - some minor grinding to get the "bite" at a premium condition. All included.

I am back in four months; once my jaw bone has naturally merged with the inserts. At that point, new impressions are made; then, I will have the permanents. The permanents are exactly the same ultra-high, even stronger quality that you will find anywhere in the world at any price. I know.

I have experienced Dentures. I wouldn't wish them on any person. And if you look closely at Denture costs and the constant adjustments; the Urzola clinic can deliver actual implants for about the same price (completely different, comfortable, no gagging, adhesives -- you can actually taste the food, etc.). Dentures can be a nightmare.

So. Did I find that I saved tens of thousands of dollars and yet, discovered the proverbial, "You get what you pay for?" No way. I got the best, dignified communications, safe medical care, precise procedures, patient care, stunning workmanship, and ultimately, top-quality prosthetic elements. I couldn't be more pleased.

I also, on my time off there, discovered the people of Costa Rica. No, I didn't do something stupid like park my rental car in a back alley and walk out there alone in the middle of the night. Uh, no! You nor I would do that in whatever country you live in -- right? I walked in CR neighbourhoods. I drove slowly (respectful of people/dogs/cats in busy small streets – the local's notice) – I said hi to complete strangers outside some tiny market, and all I found was the most hard-working, friendly, and helpful people I have ever met. I was greeted back with a big smile - and then, with my pathetic Spanish and hand signals, they would lead me to something I wanted to buy.

I never ever once felt afraid in Costa Rica.

The CR people, "Ticos" are one of a kind. Unique, hospitable, helpful, and also, quite funny. They love a good laugh!

The point? I'm not writing here that Urzola Dentristy is excellent, but of course, Costa Rica is a scary place, so be afraid. NO! Exactly the opposite.

Dr Urzola, his team – Adriana and Francheska, administrators, including the Anesthetist, Lab technicians, are people I sincerely like and respect; I also trust them implicitly. I can't wait to get back in four months.

And there's a bonus. I get to be among the Ticos again, with my “permanent” smile back.

"Pura Vida!"

He called himself and walked me through process

5 50 Dental Implants • Paid: $17500

I am from Sacramento California and I just was treated by Dr Esteban Urzola in Costa Rica. I had doubts as many do about traveling to Costa Rica for my implants to be done. His service was top notch and in fact he called himself and walked me through process and was available from the moment I decided to commit until completion. I was very impressed by his facilities and in fact he has an onsite laboratory and utilizes all the same materials and machinery that one would find in the USA. The price for an all-on-4 was 70% cheaper than any option I could find in the USA. I highly recommend him for any implant work one may need. His staff was very professional and fully bilingual, they managed the logistics for my entire trip. In fact upon return for my permanent teeth, his patient coordinator planned a beautiful trip to include a visit to the volcano and beach. In fact we are still here:)

I am very happy with my new smile, and the work is done

5 50 Dental Implants, Veneers, Bone Graft

I chose this clinic based on the credentials of Dr. Urzola and that he is a dental surgeon and he has lots of experience with implants.

Dr. Urzola removed my upper teeth and replaced them with implants, did a bone graft, a nasal lift, fixed a broken veneer and filled a space where two teeth were missing on my lower jaw with 2 two implants.

My experience with Dr. Urzola and his staff was commendable. He displayed a lot of compassion, caring, and perfectionism in his work with me. His staff worked with him as an awesome team always knowing what they had to do and what was needed to do. I felt very secure and trusted that all would be well in the end. I am very happy with my new smile, and the work is done.

It is a very professional and friendly clinic and I would not hesitate to recommend Dr Urzola, his staff and his Clinic for any dental work. The cost was 1/3 what I would have paid in Canada and there were no surprises.

I am much more confident with my new smile

5 50 Dentist Consultation

Everything from start to finish was great here. Of course, I was nervous travelling out of the states to an unfamiliar place, but once I arrived I knew I made a great decision. I actually spoke to Dr Urzola prior to my trip and he reassured me all would be fine. The entire staff goes above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable before and after your treatment. Super friendly staff as well. I was extremely satisfied with the outcome of my dental work. Since I have been home I have received nothing but compliments from friends and family. I am much more confident with my new smile. I truly would recommend this clinic to everyone. Even the pricing is great!

It was truly a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend

5 50 Dental Implants

When I decided to choose Costa Rica for dental implants because of the lower prices and excellent quality doctors, I checked for doctors that specialized in dental implants, not just dentists. Dr Urzola returned my call, and we talked extensively and regularly about the procedure before I finally decided to go to Costa Rica and check him out. He was very thorough and gave me confidence that dental implants would be the perfect solution for me, although we weren't sure if I needed to do full dental implants for upper and lower. I went over in September 2019 for a physical checkup and to check his operation. He gave me an option to keep my lower teeth and just use partial implants for the lower. He agreed with the US doctors that I would need a full implant for the upper. I decided to do the surgery with him the next day.

Dr Urzola had 2 beautiful offices/clinics and the staff was very efficient and friendly. I was pleasantly surprised that he had the same type of equipment as the US clinic I visited, and also had an in house lab. He explained to me what the surgery would entail. We stayed a total of 6 days and checked in daily with the doctor. On the 4th day, I fitted my temporary upper implant and it was perfect.

I even managed to make to get a day off to take a Costa Rica forest tour because I healed quickly.

Other than the wonderful service, he offered a 2 payment cash plan, 1/2 on that trip, and then, the 2nd payment when I return in February for my permanent implant. In the US, they wanted full payment upfront.

In addition, he gave me some freebees to bring home: an oral irrigator, and ice packs and a lot of written advice about eating so that my temporary implant doesn't break before the second visit. A week after I got home, he called me just to check on how I was doing.

It was truly a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend Dr Esteban Urzola to anyone considering dental implants.
