Dr. Alaa Ghuzlan brings more than 10 years of experience as a dentist, caring for thousands of patients in various countries around the world. With a specialty in dental implantology from the University of Barcelona.

Dr. Ghuzlan always opts for continued training to continue improving and offering the best treatments for her patients, such as continuous studying and adopting the latest technologies. She will use the most advanced technology to improve our patients’ experience, including the 2D/3D radiology and a 3D intraoral scanner. These devices will enhance the patient experience and optimize workflows, allowing us to treat our patients more efficiently and quickly.

Now a proud resident of Los Gigantes, Dr. Alaa is deeply connected to the community. You are likely to find her enjoying walks along the cost from Alcalá to Los Gigantes, at the gym, trying the local cuisine or taking care of her cat Mara.

With over 8 years of experience in Business Strategy and Digital Marketing, Aidan McDonnell is the driving force behind the smooth operation of the clinic.

He began his career by graduating in Biomedical Sciences from Maynooth University before swapping his lab coat for Patagonia sweaters and starting work at a tech startup, where he learned all aspects of business and marketing over 8 years, eventually becoming Head of Product. He has transferred his business knowledge to Clínica Dental Raíces, where he has implemented a unique management model focused on the patient and continuous feedback cycles that drive continuous improvement.

He and his wife, Dr. Alaa Ghuzlan, decided that they both had a unique skill set that, together, could revolutionize the dental experience in Tenerife and provide more opportunities for the local community. He and Dr. Alaa aim to create pleasant experiences for patients, where they look forward to visiting the dentist, and break the outdated concept of dental clinics as cold, white, and scary places. This is how Clínica Dental Raíces was born.

When he's not working, Aidan can be found cycling around the island, proudly wearing the pink jersey of the local cycling team CC Orbaorotava, or eating in the local guachinches with Dr. Alaa

Dr. Deborah Martínez Laforest is a versatile orthodontist specializing in bridging the realms of orthodontics, education, and dental surgery. With over a decade of experience, she has treated numerous cases and contributed significantly to the field. Dr. Laforest's journey spans from her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the Universidad Central de Venezuela to specialized postgraduate studies in orthodontics and pedagogy in Panama. She holds a Dental Radiology Technician certification from Madrid, Spain, further enriching her expertise. Dr. Laforest's commitment to orthodontic excellence and education reflects her passion for advancing dental care and patient well-being.
