Dr Andrea Ho-Fatt Wang

Job Title:
  Dentist
Biography:
In order to become a dentist, I first attained my Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry from McMaster University before going on to receive my DDS from the University of Western Ontario.

For my continuing education, I have attended Dawson Academy for courses in occlusion and esthetics for cosmetic dentistry, as well as classes in orthodontics for the general practitioner from Rondeau Orthodontics. I have also attended the Toronto Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and the Toronto Academy of General Dentistry.

In addition, I have received training for early treatment with removable retainers to minimize extractions and get more space in crowded dentitions. This is done by using patients growth during the mixed dentition stage, which is from age four to twelve. Instead of waiting to refer to an Orthondontist when all permanent teeth are in, I also place conventional braces or Invisalign clear aligners.

Job Title:
  Dentist
Biography:
I completed a Bachelor of Science degree with Honours from the University of Waterloo in 2007. With a strong interest in visual arts and health sciences, I found myself drawn towards to dental profession. I received my Doctor of Dental Surgeon degree four years later from the University of Toronto. Throughout my dental education, I loved all aspects of dentistry and treating patients of all ages at the school clinic. I also enjoyed spending time in the community and was acknowledged by the Dental Alumni Association for my involvement in extra-curricular activities.

The science and technology of dentistry are constantly evolving. I enjoy taking part in dental conferences and learning about the newest advancements in oral health. I believe that continuing education plays an important role in being a competent and well-rounded clinician. I have a strong interest in continuing education courses on orthodontics, implantology and esthetic dentistry.

Job Title:
  Dentist
Biography:
During my formative years, I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Western Ontario. I then went on to receive my DDS from the University of Toronto.

Continuing Education is quite literally a ‘continual’ endeavour of mine - as I believe that learning never really stops and is the best way for one to grow. I have attended courses and have become quite comfortable with the administration of minimal and moderate sedation dentistry. I am also an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry.

Although all aspects of dentistry appeal to me, my particular goals for further learning include orthodontics and surgery. The ongoing development in these and other areas is both innovative and inspiring - and will no doubt have a positive impact on the oral and overall health of you, the patient.
