This registered dental hygienist provides services of a high standard to help patients achieve and maintain long term dental and oral health and healthy smiles. Her clinic is located at Stoney Creek in Ontario. She is particular adept at addressing the needs of children’ patients with special needs, victims of abuse, cancer patients and patients in long term care. Services provided include scaling and polishing, gum disease treatments, dental hygiene instructions, irrigation of dental pockets, needle free anaesthetics, fluoride treatments, treatments for sensitive teeth and take home teeth whitening kits.
Amy L. Dion grew up in the Stoney Creek area, attending Orchard Park and Saltfleet post secondary schools and graduating with Honours. She went on to attend MacMaster University in 1997 and earned a Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences. In 2002 she graduated from Durham College in Oshawa with Honours in the Dental Hygiene Program.
Since then she has practiced Dental Hygiene in Hamilton, Burlington, and Stoney Creek in several types of practice settings and in 2009 began teaching clinical Dental Hygiene at the Ontario Dental Education Institute (ODEI). She is especially aware of the oral care needs of children, clients with health issues, clients in long-term care, clients undergoing cancer treatments, and treatment sensitive to clients who have been victims of abuse. Her passion is providing her clients with non-surgical and preventative solutions to dental problems like cavities and periodontal disease.
