He raduated from Dalhousie University with a dental degree in 1983. He went onto pursue graduate orthodontics at the University of Pennsylvania and graduated with his orthodontics specialty degree in 1985.His education at Penn covered all aspects of a traditional orthodontic education, and gave emphasis to adult orthodontics and multi-disciplinary treatment, as well as early orthodontic treatment for interceptive intervention. This education has allowed him to practice for the past 28 years in Sydney, Nova Scotia. He regularly attends continuing education events and orthodontics conferences. He strongly feels that our patients deserve the best care, and continuing education allows him to provide them with more options with excellent results. Dr. Emanuele belongs to several professional associations including CAO, AAO, Northeast Society of Orthodontists, NSDA, CDA,and Atlantic Society of Orthodontists. He is also proud to have been a part-time clinical instructor at Dalhousie University, Faculty of Dentistry, in the orthodontics department from 2006 to 2013. He and his wife Brenda have three grown children. Their eldest son, Andrew, is graduating from the University of Western Ontario with a specialty degree in Orthodontics in 2016. Their second son, Nicholas, will be graduating from the Dalhousie Faculty of Dentistry in 2016. Carla, their daughter, is a second year Pharmacy student at Dalhousie University. He and his wife Brenda enjoyed Halifax so much during this teaching time at the university that they have decided to make Halifax their part-time home, and hence, we are proud to have him join our team.
