Job Title:
  Principal Dentist
Specialisations:
  General Dentistry, Implantology, Orthodontics, Periodontics
Biography:

dmd, magd, ficoi

Dr. Randall K. Warkentin is a native of Morden. He graduated from the University of Manitoba, Faculty of Dentistry in 1985, and returned to Morden to start up his dental practice.

Education has always been a passion for Dr. Warkentin – he believes it is critical to stay abreast of the latest advances in dentistry and to offer the most up-to-date patient care possible. In the summer of 2007, Dr. Warkentin completed one of the most respected and rigorous continuing education programs in dentistry, the Mastership program of the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD). To attain the prestigious Mastership award, Dr. Warkentin completed 1,100 hours of approved continuing education, including 400 hours of hands-on courses in 16 disciplines, including periodontics, orthodontics, and implants. The MAGD designation is held by less than 5% of dentists in North America.

AGD President Vincent Mayher, dmd, magd says, “By completing the vigorous requirements to become a Master, Dr. Warkentin goes above and beyond basic licensure requirements in his province to keep his practice on the cutting edge. He takes dental education to provide his patients with the very best in dental care. This award truly distinguishes Dr. Warkentin from others in the dental community.”
In addition to receiving the prestigious MAGD designation, Dr. Warkentin has completed all six levels of the L.D. Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education, graduated from the Misch International Implant Institute, has taken extensive training in orthodontics, implants, cosmetic dentistry, crown and bridge, bone grafting, and endodontics, and has completed the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation course. He is an instructor for the Red River College Dental Assisting program, and has been a clinical instructor at the University of Manitoba, Faculty of Dentistry.

Dr. Warkentin also received a fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry in 2001 and in the International Congress of Oral Implantology in 2005. In July of 2009 and 2010, Dr. Warkentin taught implant dentistry courses in India for the University of Manitoba, Faculty of Dentistry - Department of Continuing Education.

He is a member of the Canadian Dental Association, Manitoba Dental Association, Winnipeg Dental Society, Chicago Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry, International Congress of Oral Implantologists, Canadian Academy of Restorative Dentistry and Prosthodontics, the Winnipeg Progressive Dental Study Club and Canadian Society of Oral Implantology.
