She is dedicated to providing personal, professional care for every patient. She has a passion for all aspects of general dentistry.She completed a Bachelor of Science degree in 2000, before achieving her Bachelor of Dentistry in 2004; both from the University of Sydney. Since graduating, Dr Lai Sing has developed extensive experience working in busy private practises at Carlingford and Maitland. Both enabled her to hone skills in the area of surgery and cosmetic dentistry. Her reputation as a gentle and caring dentist has resulted in word of mouth referrals from the locality of the northern beaches, extending to their family and friends from as far and wide as the Central Coast, Newcastle region to the Sutherland shire. Continuing education is important to Dr Lai Sing. She is committed to clinical excellence and keeps her professional education up to date by attending numerous courses in all areas of dentistry. She has given specific focus to implant surgery and restorative dentistry and recently completed the Advanced Implant, Bone Graft/Guided Bone Regeneration and Sinus Floor Elevation Course. She was invited to teach as a Clinical Tutor for the Bachelor of Dentistry programme at the University of Sydney in 2005, and has sat on the interview panel in the selection of Dental and Medical Students at the University of Sydney for the past 8 years. She is an accredited Invisalign provider, a member of the Manly Warringah Dental Study Club, a member of the Australian Dental Association and is a registered Dental Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.She opened, Northern Beaches Family Dental in February 2012, where she has created a family focused dental practice which provides quality dental treatment for the whole family. Since opening, she and the practice have been warmly supported by their Northern Beaches neighbours and locals, resulting in the practice predominantly growing from word of mouth and referrals and from neighbouring health care institutions. She feels extremely blessed and fortunate to be in a profession she loves and is extremely passionate about. She dedicates her professional life to dentistry and her personal life to her husband, Matthew and their 2 active children.

She came to Australia in 2010. Heather gained her qualifications in Scotland from the University of Dundee in 2007, with Honours in Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS Hons), gaining a prize for highest aggregate clinical marks. Heather then went onto obtain a Diploma for the Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgeons (MFDS) with the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. Since then Heather has worked in general dental practice as well as various dental hospitals, within a number of different specialties (including paediatrics, oral and maxillofacial surgery, restorative, oral medicine and sedation). In addition, Heather has carried out voluntary dental aid work in Cambodia and Vietnam which she found very rewarding, and hopes to do more of in the future. Her main interests lie within aesthetic and restorative dentistry and she has had extensive experience restoring patients smiles using ceramic crowns; bridges and veneers. She also enjoys minor oral surgery and has experience providing conscious sedation. Heather actively participates in regular continual professional development. She enrols in seminars and courses relevant to her dental practice and is currently a committee member of a local study group. As well as this, she is a member of the ADA (Australian Dental Association), AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulatory Agency), MWDSG (Manly Warringah Dental Study Group), RCS of Ed (Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh) and the BDA (British Dental Association). In her spare time, Heather is a keen sportswoman and enjoys running. Having completed a number of half marathons, she accomplished her first whole marathon in 2012. Indeed, she continues to take part in local charity runs throughout the northern beaches and is always on the look out for new challenges. He started the Bachelor of Dentistry at University of Adelaide in 1987 aged 16years old and started working as a general dentist in private practise in 1992. After 10 years working in as diverse locations like Woolgoolga, Nambucca Heads, Alice Springs and Hobart he pursued an interest in surgery and was accepted as an Oral Maxillofacial Surgical registrar at the Royal Hobart Hospital and Westmead Hospital. This enabled him to be involved in diverse surgical procedures as complex wisdom teeth extractions, head and neck tumour resections, Orthognathic surgery (Bilateral Sagital Split Osteotomies) to complex surgical jaw reconstructions. During this period, Dr Foo taught Oral Surgery to Sydney University dental students at the Westmead Hospital. After acquiring such extensive general dental and surgical experience Dr Foo decided to pursue and was accepted into the Orthodontic speciality at the University of Sydney. He spent 3 years of full time training and studies in orthodontics at the Sydney Dental Hospital and Westmead Hospital. His training enabled him to train in all aspects of orthodontic treatment including conventional braces, Invisalign clear aligners, lingual braces and removable orthodontic appliances. Dr Foo is a certified user of incognito, Harmony and eBrace lingual braces. He has lectured at multiple venues to general dentists and fellow orthodontists. He is actively involved in teaching of the Orthodontic postgraduates at University of Sydney.??Dr Foo is dedicated to his continuing education to provide the best orthodontic care for his patients. He regularly attends courses, meetings and conferences every year to keep up to date on the latest innovations in orthodontics and chairs a Dental Education Group in the upper north shore. He is a principal at his orthodontic practices in Pymble and in regional practice in Maitland.
