AVA Plastic Surgery Hospital
AVA Plastic Surgery Hospital (Vietnamese: Bệnh viện Thẩm mỹ AVA) is a Ministry of Health–licensed hospital in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, specializing in plastic and reconstructive surgery.
The hospital was founded by Dr. Nguyễn Thiện Khánh in 1996 and is now led by his children. Dr. Nguyễn Hương Giang, who trained for 18 years in the United States at LAC+USC Medical Center in Los Angeles, currently serves as Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Outside of medicine, she is also known as a singer who has performed with the Vietnamese diaspora music program Paris By Night.
Dr. Nguyễn Thiện Khanh, son of the founder, serves as Chief Medical Officer (CMO) and Medical Director. Trained for 20 years in the United States and Singapore, he specializes in aesthetic and reconstructive procedures with a focus on body contouring surgery. Dr. Khanh is a recognized InMode Global Key Opinion Leader (KOL) and the pioneer of QuantumRF technology in Vietnam. He has delivered keynote lectures at international medical conferences in Dubai, Doha, Thailand, Turkey, Cyprus, and Spain since 2022.
Since 2022, AVA Plastic Surgery Hospital has collaborated with AIH (American International Hospital)—a multi-specialty hospital operated by Raffles Medical Group Singapore—to perform complex surgical cases requiring advanced anesthesia, intensive care, and multidisciplinary coordination. This partnership allows AVA surgeons to operate on patients with elevated BMI, metabolic conditions, or prolonged surgical durations in a JCI-standard environment.
In December 2024, Dr. Nguyễn Thiện Khánh and Dr. Nguyễn Thiện Khanh performed a nine-hour Total Body Lift Surgery at AIH on a 43-year-old Russian patient who had lost 35 kilograms following sleeve gastrectomy. The comprehensive procedure included multiplane L-scar mastopexy with implants, autologous gluteal augmentation (AGA), and circumferential body lift (CBL), all assisted by VASER, MicroAire, and Renuvion technologies. The case was reported by Thanh Niên Newspaper as a notable example of advanced post-bariatric body contouring surgery, integrating modern technologies and scar-minimizing techniques to achieve aesthetic and functional restoration.
AVA Plastic Surgery Hospital continues to incorporate advanced technologies such as VASERlipo, MicroAire PAL, EmbraceRF, Morpheus8, BodyTite, Renuvion, and QuantumRF, as well as Clarius wireless AI-integrated ultrasound to enhance surgical precision and safety. In 2021, AVA became the first medical institution in Vietnam to introduce Morpheus8—an advanced fractional radiofrequency microneedling technology combining deep subdermal remodeling with skin tightening. Building on this achievement, in 2025, Dr. Khanh and AVA Hospital introduced QuantumRF to Vietnam for the first time—a next-generation bipolar RF-assisted lipolysis platform designed to optimize skin retraction and tissue contraction following liposuction.
