Breast Augmentation
First, the size or fill of some saline implants can be adjusted after breast augmentation without the need for additional surgery to replace the implants. For silicone or cohesive silicone gel implants (gummy bear implants), a breast revision surgery is necessary to adjust implant size if you’re not satisfied with it after your breast augmentation. Silicone gel implants generally require a slightly larger incision and are usually placed through an incision in the breast fold (inframammary incision) or in the armpit (transaxillary incision). Because saline implants can be filled after the shell of the implant is placed in the breast pocket, a smaller incision is usually needed. Patients who choose saline breast implants also have more options for the location of the incision, including a periareolar incision (around the areola) or transumbilical incision (in the belly button).

Facelift
During a traditional facelift procedure, you will be under general anesthesia or local anesthesia with IV sedation. The location of your facelift incisions depends on the surgical technique chosen by you and Dr. Motlagh to address your unique concerns and meet your aesthetic goals. Typical incisions for a traditional facelift are slightly behind the hairline and run from temple to temple and around the ears. Some facelift techniques do not require that the hairline incision run the full length of your scalp; instead, a few small, individual incisions can be made along the hairline. Your skin is pulled back so that underlying tissues and muscle can be tightened, and loose, excess skin is then trimmed away. Your skin is repositioned and sutures or skin adhesives are used to close the incisions. Facelift and lower facelift procedures are often combined with neck lift surgery in order to smooth facial contours that extend under the chin and into the neck and remove excess skin from this area. A neck lift involves a small incision under the chin. Facelift and forehead lift surgery may also be combined with eyelid surgery for additional facial rejuvenation.

Breast Reduction for Men
Gynecomastia surgery, or male breast reduction, is the only way to effectively treat enlarged breasts in men. Gynecomastia treatment involves surgical removal or excision of glandular breast tissue and may also involve some liposuction on the chest. Incisions for male breast reduction via liposuction only Liposuction, Outline Liposuction, Incision Although male breast reduction may be performed on teens with severe cases of gynecomastia, the best candidates for the procedure are healthy adult men who have finished physically developing. Discreet and well hidden incisions are made around a portion of the areola, or darker skin surrounding the nipple, when a male breast reduction is performed.

Tummy Tuck
After anesthesia is administered, a horizontal incision will be made below the bikini line, the length of which will depend on how much muscle tightening and skin excision is needed to achieve optimal results. Muscle repair and plication (tightening) is performed and excess skin and fat tissue are removed from the lower abdomen. For a full tummy tuck, another incision is made around the belly button to remove excess skin and fat tissue from the upper abdomen. Because abdominal skin is pulled down toward the bikini line and inward as it is removed, your belly button will need to be surgically repositioned. Sutures, skin adhesives, tapes or clips close the skin incisions, and gauze dressings and mild compression are applied immediately following surgery.
