Breast Augmentation
During your consultation Dr. Blechman will discuss your desires and expectations with you. Measurements will be made to carefully select the optimal size implants so that you may enjoy an enhanced yet natural appearance. You may be scheduled for a baseline screening mammogram prior to surgery. A variety of anatomic locations are available to make incisions for placing the implants. Most commonly, a small incision at the base of the breast near the inframammary crease or at the edge of the areola is used. For some patients, the incision may be placed in the armpit. During your consultation Dr. Blechman will discuss which option is best suited for you. The implants are typically placed behind the pectoralis muscle which can help with achieving a more natural shape as well as minimize the risk of developing a complication referred to as a capsular contracture. The procedure is performed in the hospital under general anesthesia and typically lasts less than two hours. Patients usually go home the same day.

Facelift
During your consultation Dr. Blechman will discuss your desires and expectations with you, and an individualized plan tailored to your needs will be explained. A facelift is performed by making incisions above the hairline in front of the temples, and extending them in a natural line along the front of the ear and back around the ear lobe onto the scalp behind the ear. The facial muscles are then tightened and excess skin is pulled back and removed. Only the necessary amount of skin is trimmed so that a natural appearance results. A small amount of liposuction and tightening of the neck muscles can be done through a small incision under the chin if needed.

Rhytidectomy

Male Breast Reduction
During your consultation Dr. Blechman will discuss your desires and expectations with you. Measurements will be taken and an individualized plan tailored to your needs will be explained. If a medical condition or medication is suspected as the probable cause of the gynecomastia, you will be referred to the appropriate specialist to assist in your care. Surgical techniques to perform male breast reduction usually rely on liposuction, glandular excision, or a combination of both, with or without excess skin removal. Depending upon your anatomy, Dr. Blechman will explain which surgical approach is bested suited for you. The procedure is performed in the hospital under general anesthesia and takes one to two hours. Most patients return home that same day.

Rhinoplasty
During your consultation Dr. Blechman will discuss your desires and expectations with you, and an individualized plan tailored to your needs will be explained. Rhinoplasty typically takes two to three hours, and is performed in the hospital under general anesthesia. Various surgical techniques can be used to increase or decrease the size or width of the nose, alter the profile and bridge, refine the shape of the tip, narrow the span of the nostrils, or change the angle between the base of the nose and upper lip. In some cases rhinoplasty can include techniques to correct difficulties with breathing, such as those caused by a deviated septum. Incisions are concealed inside the nostrils, although an incision may extend inconspicuously across the columella (the column of tissue separating the nostrils). In some case a small graft of bone or cartilage is sculpted and used to achieve a desired shape to the nose. Dissolvable stitches are used inside the nose and very tiny ones are placed on any skin incisions.

Nasal Reshaping

Tummy Tuck
During your consultation Dr. Blechman will discuss your desires and expectations with you, and an individualized plan tailored to your needs will be explained. In general, it is advised that patients refrain from undergoing surgery until after they have completed bearing children. In addition, a stable weight should be maintained. Based on your medical history and physical evaluation, Dr. Blechman will determine if abdominoplasty is right for you. An abdominoplasty is performed using a horizontal incision from hip to hip that is placed within the bikini line such that it is concealed when wearing most bathing suits or clothing. For patients with a prior C-section, the scar can be made part of the abdominoplasty incision. An incision is also made encircling the belly button. Excess skin and fat are removed, and any separation of the abdominal musculature is repaired and tightened. The skin overlying the abdomen is then stretched down so that it is flat and firm. In doing so, a new opening for the belly button must be made so that it can be placed in a natural position. Sometimes, liposuction is used in conjunction with abdominoplasty to address excess fat deposits in the flanks. In some case, additional procedures such as breast augmentation or a breast lift is also performed, oftentimes referred to as a mommy makeover. The procedure takes approximately three hours to complete and is performed under general anesthesia. Most patients return home the same day.

Medical Aesthetics

Facial Fillers
Fillers such as Facial Fillers are derived from hyaluronic acid, a naturally-occurring substance in the human body, which will absorb water after it is injected. Facial Fillers is a different type of filler that contains calcium microspheres which when injected under the skin form a scaffold for the body to fill with collagen. Typically, small amounts of filler are carefully injected into creases around the nose and lips. They are also often used as lip fillers to augment the size and/or plumpness of the lips. Fillers can also be used to hide irregularities in the shape of the nose (sometimes referred to as a “liquid rhinoplasty”). Although this does not duplicate the results of nasal surgery, it may be an alternative for those not ready to undergo an operation.

Treatment for Wrinkles
No anesthesia is necessary for Treatment for Wrinkles treatment, although some patients choose to have a numbing cream applied about 45 minutes beforehand. Extremely thin needles are used to inject very tiny amounts of Treatment for Wrinkles so that the procedure will not be very painful. Treatment for Wrinkles injections usually take only 10-20 minutes and are performed in the office. Most patients will return to work or attend social engagements the same day (however, bruising can occur). Results typically begin to appear approximately three days after treatment, and may last anywhere from three to six months.
