Breast augmentation surgery typically takes two hours or less to complete, and can be performed on an outpatient basis in the convenience of LIPSG’s state-of-the-art, fully accredited ambulatory surgery center in Garden City or at area hospitals. The procedure takes place under general anesthesia, or local anesthesia combined with a sedative.

Male Breast Reduction
During male breast reduction surgery, the surgeon makes small incisions hidden in the armpit or around the areola (the dark-pigmented area surrounding the nipple). Excess skin, fat and/or glandular tissue will be removed, and liposuction may also be employed to suction out extra fat. The length of the procedure will depend on the extent of your condition. Male breast reduction procedures are typically performed as an outpatient under general anesthesia, and take one to two hours to complete.
