About The Women's Health Clinic - Halifax

Vaginal Rejuvenation at The Women's Health Clinic

Many women experience changes in intimate health during different stages of life. Childbirth, menopause, hormonal changes, ageing, medical treatments and everyday life can all affect vaginal comfort, tissue quality, confidence and wellbeing.

Common concerns include vaginal dryness, discomfort during intimacy, reduced sensation, changes in vaginal laxity, irritation, recurrent urinary symptoms and other intimate health concerns that can have a significant impact on quality of life. These issues are extremely common, yet many women feel uncomfortable discussing them or are unsure where to seek advice.

At The Women's Health Clinic, we provide confidential consultations and personalised treatment plans for women seeking support with intimate health and vaginal rejuvenation concerns. We understand that every woman's experience is different, which is why we take the time to listen, assess and discuss all appropriate options before recommending treatment.

Our approach is centred on assessment first. Rather than offering a single treatment to every patient, we provide access to a range of modern women's health and regenerative treatment options. This allows us to recommend the most suitable approach based on your symptoms, medical history, goals and individual circumstances.

Depending on your assessment, available treatment options may include: travelling may be required if availability is restricted in some clinics

• Nu-V® vaginal laser treatment

• Regenerative therapies using o shot, g shot

• Polynucleotide treatments

• Exosome treatments

• Hyaluronic acid fillers for selected concerns

• Menopause-focused vaginal health care

• Combination treatment plans where appropriate

Women seek treatment for many different reasons. Some are looking for support with menopause-related vaginal dryness or discomfort. Others wish to address changes experienced after childbirth, improve intimate comfort, or explore options that may help support tissue quality and overall intimate wellbeing.

Our clinicians provide clear, balanced information about potential benefits, limitations, suitability considerations and alternatives. We believe informed patients make better decisions, and we encourage questions throughout the consultation process.

The Women's Health Clinic is an independent UK women's health service dedicated to providing personalised care for women at every stage of life. Our team includes experienced doctors, specialist nurses and women's health practitioners with expertise in menopause care, intimate health and regenerative medicine approaches.

We recognise that discussing intimate concerns can feel sensitive. Our consultations are conducted in a professional, respectful and supportive environment where women can talk openly about their symptoms and concerns without embarrassment or judgement.

Your consultation will focus on understanding your symptoms, reviewing relevant medical history and discussing the treatment options that may be suitable for your needs. If treatment is appropriate, your clinician will explain the available options and help you decide on the most suitable approach.

Whether you are experiencing vaginal dryness, discomfort, menopause-related changes, concerns following childbirth, or simply wish to explore available options for intimate wellbeing, our team is here to help.

The first step is a confidential consultation where we can discuss your concerns, answer your questions and help you understand the options available to you.

Educational information only. Individual suitability and outcomes vary. A consultation and assessment are required before any treatment recommendation can be made.

Biography, Qualifications & Degrees

Dr Farzana Khan is a women’s health doctor with more than 20 years’ medical experience. She qualified as an MD from the University of Copenhagen in 2003 and has worked across dermatology, obstetrics and gynaecology, family medicine, community gynaecology and selected medical aesthetic practice. She is GMC registered, GMC number 6088611.

Her clinical work focuses on women’s intimate health, including vaginal dryness, genitourinary syndrome of menopause (GSM), sexual comfort concerns, vulval skin concerns, lichen sclerosus, and comfort or volume changes. Her approach is calm, careful and balanced, with an emphasis on listening first, explaining options clearly and helping women make informed decisions without pressure.

Dr Khan completed her MRCGP/CCT with the Royal College of General Practitioners in 2013 and also holds the Diploma of the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Health, DFFP/DFSRH, completed in 2013. Her background combines formal medical training, general practice, women’s health, community gynaecology and ongoing education in intimate and regenerative treatment areas.

At The Women’s Health Clinic, Dr Khan supports women who want a thoughtful doctor-led discussion about symptoms, tissue health, comfort concerns and treatment options. She discusses conservative and medical options first where appropriate, and only considers selected regenerative, device-led or aesthetic treatments after assessment, counselling and shared decision-making. Her consultations include realistic discussion of benefits, limits, risks and alternatives.

Her professional development includes continued education in women’s intimate health, regenerative procedures, polynucleotides, women’s intimate fillers, device-led treatments and broader aesthetic medicine. Since 2023, she has also worked as a KOL/Trainer with Neauvia, Asclepion Laser and RegenLab, supporting clinician education in selected treatment areas.

Dr Khan’s professional background includes hospital obstetrics and gynaecology roles at Harrogate District Hospital and Pontefract Hospital, family medicine and community gynaecology from 2010 onwards, and selected medical aesthetic practice since 2017. She has also presented academically at the British International Congress of Obstetrics and Gynaecology on a rare vaginal malignant melanoma case.

Her guiding principle is simple: clear explanations, realistic expectations and shared decision-making.
