Biography, Qualifications & Degrees
Dr Farzana Khan is a women’s health doctor with more than 20 years’ medical experience. She qualified as an MD from the University of Copenhagen in 2003 and has worked across dermatology, obstetrics and gynaecology, family medicine, community gynaecology and selected medical aesthetic practice. She is GMC registered, GMC number 6088611.
Her clinical work focuses on women’s intimate health, including vaginal dryness, genitourinary syndrome of menopause (GSM), sexual comfort concerns, vulval skin concerns, lichen sclerosus, and comfort or volume changes. Her approach is calm, careful and balanced, with an emphasis on listening first, explaining options clearly and helping women make informed decisions without pressure.
Dr Khan completed her MRCGP/CCT with the Royal College of General Practitioners in 2013 and also holds the Diploma of the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Health, DFFP/DFSRH, completed in 2013. Her background combines formal medical training, general practice, women’s health, community gynaecology and ongoing education in intimate and regenerative treatment areas.
At The Women’s Health Clinic, Dr Khan supports women who want a thoughtful doctor-led discussion about symptoms, tissue health, comfort concerns and treatment options. She discusses conservative and medical options first where appropriate, and only considers selected regenerative, device-led or aesthetic treatments after assessment, counselling and shared decision-making. Her consultations include realistic discussion of benefits, limits, risks and alternatives.
Her professional development includes continued education in women’s intimate health, regenerative procedures, polynucleotides, women’s intimate fillers, device-led treatments and broader aesthetic medicine. Since 2023, she has also worked as a KOL/Trainer with Neauvia, Asclepion Laser and RegenLab, supporting clinician education in selected treatment areas.
Dr Khan’s professional background includes hospital obstetrics and gynaecology roles at Harrogate District Hospital and Pontefract Hospital, family medicine and community gynaecology from 2010 onwards, and selected medical aesthetic practice since 2017. She has also presented academically at the British International Congress of Obstetrics and Gynaecology on a rare vaginal malignant melanoma case.
Her guiding principle is simple: clear explanations, realistic expectations and shared decision-making.
