Mr Chandrashekar graduated from Mysore University in 1989 and was awarded Master’s in surgery, post-graduate qualification in Surgery by Bangalore University in 1992. He consolidated his surgical training on the higher surgical training programme of the Northern Deanery, Newcastle upon Tyne. He was appointed to the Novel National Breast-oncoplastic fellowship in 2002.This was a “first of its kind” unique cross speciality training programme conceived by the British association of Plastic surgeons and the British association of Surgical Oncology and funded directly by the Department of Health. He has also visited several National and International centres of excellence including the Division of plastic surgery, Massachussetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School, and Boston, USA.He was appointed to the post of Consultant in Oncoplastic and reconstructive Breast surgery at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital in 2003. He is also an honorary senior lecturer in Clinical sciences at the University of Liverpool. He has practicing privileges at the Spire Lourdes Hospital in Liverpool.He is on the Specialist registry of the General Medical Council, and is a member of the Association of Breast Surgeons, British Association of Surgical Oncology, European society of surgical Oncology, and the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons, UK.Mr Chandrashekar is a specialist onco-plastic surgeon specializing in Breast reconstructive, corrective, oncoplastic and aesthetic breast surgery and provides comprehensive breast surgical care for his patients.
