Vivek graduated as a doctor from Edinburgh University in 1997 before working in the professorial departments of medicine and surgery in Glasgow. He was selected to work at the University College London Hospital under the tutelage of the Professor of Plastic Surgery. Following this he returned to Glasgow to further his training and qualified as a surgeon in 2001. Vivek has spent 14 years in plastic surgery. He was appointed to the highly competitive London Training Scheme in 2003 before moving once again to Glasgow to complete his training at the internationally renowned Canniesburn Plastic Surgery Unit. Vivek became an NHS Consultant Plastic Surgeon at Canniesburn Plastic Surgery Unit, Glasgow Royal Infirmary in 2009. In the NHS Vivek specialised in breast plastic surgery and reconstruction using microsurgical techniques and laser surgery. Vivek also specialised in facial aesthetic surgery for patients with severe acne scarring using both facelifts and laser surgery. Vivek was also a member of the Clyde Combined Skin Cancer Multi-disciplinary Team with local dermatologists.

In 2013 Vivek left the NHS to open the Elanic Clinic on Bath Street and now works solely in Private Practice.

Vivek holds a number of qualifications including:

MB ChB – Qualification as a Doctor

MRCS – Basic surgical qualification

MD – Awarded from the University of Edinburgh following 2 years of research in aesthetic laser surgery

FRCS(Plast) – Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow in Plastic Surgery. Advanced Specialist qualification in Plastic Surgery, required to be a Consultant.

Vivek has published 20 research papers and presented his work around the world including in Los Angeles, Florence and Thailand. He has a total of 22 presentations at national and international meetings and was awarded scholarships to attend the American and international laser meetings. His work was selected as being amongst the best presented at the 2003 American meeting.To learn specialist surgical techniques Vivek has spent time training in Tokyo, Taipei and Melbourne.

Vivek is an Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at Glasgow University Medical School and is regularly involved in teaching trainee surgeons about plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgeons.

Vivek is a Full Member of BAPRAS, The British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons and BAAPS, The British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons.

Arup has been a Consultant Plastic Surgeon since 1994 and is currently a Consultant at Canniesburn Plastic Surgery Unit on the NHS as well as his Private Practice. Arup is on the GMC Specialist Register as a Plastic Surgeon and is a member of BAPRAS and BAAPS. Arup has previously been a Council member of BAPRAS, Clinical Director at Canniesburn and is an examiner for Plastic Surgeons finishing their training. Arup specialises in all aspects of Cosmetic surgery, in particular rhinoplasty and breast surgery. Arup also specializes in reconstructive surgery, including breast reconstruction and skin cancer.

Iain has been a Consultant Plastic Surgeon since 1996 and specialises in laser surgery as well as Cosmetic surgery and reconstructive surgery and skin cancer. Iain is one of the UK’s leading laser surgeons and has been invited to lecture around the World on laser surgery. Iain has previously been in charge of training all plastic surgery trainees in Scotland and currently sits on the Board which set the standards for newly qualified Plastic Surgeons.

Dan is a Consultant Plastic Surgeon based in Edinburgh. He works in both the NHS and independent sectors and has specialist interests within Plastic Surgery in Breast reconstruction, Laser surgery, Skin cancer and Burns reconstruction. His surgical training began in 1999 in London, and he has worked in prestigious Plastic Surgery units in both England and Scotland. He carried out Cosmetic and reconstructive training in Dallas and Galveston, Texas, USA as well as Barcelona and the Netherlands. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and is on the GMC Specialist Register as a Plastic Surgeon.

Paul is a Consultant General and Vascular Surgeon at Glasgow Royal Infirmary as well as being the chairman of the Skills Committee in the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow. Paul has a special interest in the treatment of varicose veins and he is able to offer the VNUS closure procedure, Clarivein treatment and foam sclerotherapy.

Mohan is a Consultant in Vascular and Interventional Radiology, based in Glasgow. He qualified as doctor in 1997 and trained in surgery in Liverpool. He became a Fellow of Royal College of Radiologist in 2005 and was appointed as Consultant in 2007. In 2012, he was awarded the EBIR (European Board of Interventional Radiology) degree. Mohan has extensive experience of treating venous disorders.

Simon in a Consultant at Crosshouse Hospital. He trained in bariatric (weight loss) surgery in both Glasgow and Sydney, Australia where he worked for a year. Simon is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and the Association of Upper Gastrointestinal Surgeons.

Dr Andrew Mackay is a fully licensed, registered and dual accredited Consultant in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine based in Glasgow. Andy is a Fellow of the Royal College of Anaesthetists and has been on the GMC Specialist Register as an Anaesthetist since 2010. Andy was a Founding Fellow of the Faculty of Intensive Care Medicine and is currently a Consultant in Anesthetics and Intensive Care.

Dr Brenda Daly is a Consultant Anaesthetist at Glasgow Royal Infirmary and has a special interest in advanced sedation for cosmetic procedures. Brenda is on the GMC Specialist Register as a Consultant Anaesthetist and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Anaesthetists.
