At week 4, my wound had a very small fat necrosis develop but quick action with antibiotics and follow up with the outpatient clinic has got me through that minor hurdle. I watched and read so many negative articles about this surgery and how much of a struggle it can be post-op. For me, the key to really getting through it so easily was listening to the clear advice, excellent pain management in the early days and having the procedure carried out by an excellent surgeon. Nothing ever goes 100% to plan but following advice and really being positive about the outcome I think was key in me writing this positive review and saying to anyone considering this type of surgery to ignore the online stuff and just go with a good quality surgeon and facility.

Having contemplated surgery for a really long time due to having a medical condition called thrombocytopenia, I finally decided the time was right and had a consultation with Mr Awf Quaba. From initial email enquiry, to consultation and surgery, the entire process was absolutely faultless and I was made to feel extremely reassured throughout the entire process. Due to my thrombocytopenia the procedure was far more complex than a standard mastopexy procedure as I required a platelet transfusion before and after surgery along with an overnight stay in hospital, a number of consultants and nurses were involved in this process and I honestly can’t thank them all enough. My safety and care was absolutely paramount and I felt this from everyone who was involved in my care. I am absolutely delighted with the outcome and cannot thank everyone involved enough.
