Well where do I start, I had Tummy Tuck, lipo 360, and Jplasma a breast reduction with uplift (no implant) 6 weeks ago, through the best clinic in Istanbul. I mainly dealt with the lovely coordinator Maria from Day 1 of enquiries right up to surgery and these weeks post-op. Maria has been brilliant. She sinched the deal because of her calm tone and knowledge, she always had an answer and did her best to get back to me with any queries, questions or worries that had quickly. First impressions, all appeared perfect and transparent which is what you need. Because of the menopause hormones, my breasts kept getting bigger and heavier, and I had an overhang of skin on my stomach and stretch marks since the birth of my child 23 years ago. This made my body look old and I felt it didn't go with my face or personality because I look a lot younger than I am.
So I decided to have the surgery to change what I wasn't happy with. 4 months later I was booked in and I had my surgical procedure by the incredible Op.Dr. Taha Sonmez. It was perfect. Totally what I wanted and expected. My new breast size, the neatness of the scars from my TT and feeling at ease with Dr Taha. A few members of staff at Florya Hospital weren't very nice and appeared like they didn't care. I was left to do a lot on my own and a lot of asking for this and that including water!!
There was a change of hospital a few weeks before I arrived and I made my concerns known because the nurses could affect the package you get with Dr Taha, with Florya Hospital now in the mix. I shared my concerns and complaints with Maria and her colleague Mr Sohail but I don't feel they took my complaints seriously, even though they said they would look into it no one has gotten back to me, but hey, it doesn't matter now. During my 1 wk stay, Maria was ill and had to deal with personal issues, leaving Mr Sohail for me to turn to after surgery. It was like pulling teeth. Everything seemed so different like I didn't matter anymore. It was hard trying to communicate with them, Maria had personal issues and needed some time off and Mr Sohaib constantly told me how busy he was, i was left feeling like a nuisance and this was not helpful, especially only days after receiving poor aftercare by a few nurses at the hospital, to then being at the hotel with things going wrong and being left waiting for help and support when I was at my most vulnerable.
Communication with them both seemed to lessen after my surgery. I understood their situation, but I felt hurt, So please be ready for this change. This tainted my stay and experience in Turkey, and I couldn't wait to get home. My post-surgery scars, healing, hotel staff and talking with Dr Taha have been impeccable, and totally faultless. I recommend having surgery with Dr Taha, he doesn't just nip and cut he sculpts your body as well. I'm grateful I was able to talk to him about pain relief and he understood my pain because Paracetamol just doesn't cut it for the surgery I had, stronger meds are needed. Thanks to Dr Taha listening to me, I was able to get the stronger medication I needed to assist with my pain.
During my stay, I was driven here and there, to and from the hospital and Hotel. I was given two post-surgical bras and two compression garments. I was also sent home with a few scar gels, antibiotics, some anti-inflammatory medication, pain relief a copy of my blood results and a warranty.
Would I recommend this surgery to anybody? Hmm, I'm not sure lol, it hurts. Would I recommend the best clinic istanbul and Dr Taha? yes, I would, in a heartbeat, It is very good value for money and a top surgeon!
Would I recommend Florya Hospital? yes, I would, but the nurses who dealt with me need training in post-operative care for sure. Everything would then be perfect and I would give 5 stars and more!
