Dr. Miguel Lopes Oliveira, MD, DDS, is a maxillofacial surgeon (OM 50178) with comprehensive training in medicine, dentistry, and advanced craniofacial surgery. His multidisciplinary background enables him to provide expert care in facial surgery, combining functional restoration with aesthetic precision. Dr. Lopes Oliveira earned his medical degree from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Lisbon, where he developed a strong foundation in clinical medicine. During his training, he completed several international clinical placements, including cardiology and intensive care medicine at the Karolinska Institutet (Södersjukhuset, Stockholm), an ERASMUS program at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, and clerkships in general surgery and pediatrics at the Ghent University Hospital. He further expanded his expertise through specialized training in obstructive sleep apnea with the European Respiratory Society and completed his medical foundation training at the Central Lisbon Hospital Center. Dr. Lopes Oliveira undertook his residency in Maxillofacial Surgery at the Central Lisbon Hospital Center, where he gained extensive experience in facial trauma, reconstructive procedures, and corrective jaw surgery. His advanced training includes AO CMF trauma and distraction osteogenesis programs, participation in the Orthognathic Symposium in Ferrara, Italy, and specialized fellowships in craniofacial surgery at the Australian Craniofacial Unit in Adelaide, Australia, as well as plastic and reconstructive surgery training in Lisbon. In addition to his medical qualifications, he holds a dental degree from the Egas Moniz Higher Institute of Health Science, further strengthening his expertise in oral and maxillofacial surgery. Dr. Tatiana Antunes, MD, PhD, is a maxillofacial surgeon (OM 59056) with advanced academic and clinical training in facial surgery, oral and maxillofacial procedures, and aesthetic medicine. Her multidisciplinary background combines extensive surgical expertise with a strong commitment to innovation, research, and patient-centered care. Dr. Antunes earned her Bachelor of Medicine from the University of Salamanca and later completed a Master’s degree in Medicine at the University of Alcalá de Henares. She further advanced her academic career by obtaining a PhD in Surgery and Odontostomatology from the University of Salamanca, reflecting her dedication to scientific research and clinical excellence. She completed her general medical internship at the Unidade Local de Saúde Castelo Branco before undertaking specialized training in Maxillofacial Surgery at the Unidade Local de Saúde de São José Lisboa. She currently serves as a Hospital Assistant in Maxillofacial Surgery at the same institution, where she is involved in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of facial, oral, and maxillofacial conditions. In addition to her surgical practice, Dr. Antunes has pursued postgraduate training in Aesthetic Medicine at the University of Alcalá de Henares, further expanding her expertise in facial aesthetics and minimally invasive rejuvenation techniques. Her particular areas of interest include salivary gland disorders, orthognathic surgery, mentoplasty (chin surgery), and aesthetic medicine. Dr. Alexandre Bouca, MD, is a maxillofacial surgeon (OM 55401) with extensive expertise in facial, jaw, and head and neck surgery. He earned his Integrated Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Medicine from the University of Lisbon School of Medicine and has built a distinguished career in both hospital-based and specialized surgical care. Dr. Bouca serves as a Hospital Assistant in Maxillofacial Surgery at the Central University Hospital Center of Lisbon, where he also leads the Maxillofacial Surgery Emergency Team. In addition, he practices as a maxillofacial surgeon at the Armed Forces Hospital Portugal, providing advanced surgical treatment for a wide range of complex conditions affecting the face, jaws, and neck. Committed to continuous professional development, Dr. Bouca has completed advanced training in reconstructive surgery of the head and neck through programs organized by IPO Porto and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. His additional education includes specialized courses in cervical and salivary gland surgery, experimental microsurgery, and advanced orthognathic surgery and surgical orthodontics. Dr. Bouca is actively involved in the international maxillofacial surgery community as a member of the European Association for Cranio-Maxillo-Facial Surgery and the Spanish Society for Facial Clefts. Dr. Amélia Feliciano, MD, PhD, is a pulmonologist and sleep medicine specialist (somnologist), registered under OM 35978. She has a distinguished clinical and academic career focused on Pulmonology, Sleep Medicine, and Integrative Aesthetic Medicine, combining advanced diagnostic expertise with a holistic approach to patient care. In her clinical practice, Dr. Feliciano specializes in Pulmonology and Sleep Medicine, performing complementary diagnostic examinations in both fields. She is dedicated to integrative and aesthetic medicine, with a focus on anti-aging treatments and aesthetic procedures for the face, body, and hair, aiming to improve both health and quality of life. In the field of Sleep Medicine, she serves as a Senior Assistant in Pulmonology and holds official competency accreditation in Sleep Medicine from the Medical Association. She earned her Master’s degree in Sleep Medicine from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Lisbon and completed a PhD in Clinical Research at the Faculty of Medical Sciences of the Catholic University of Portugal. She is also a certified Somnologist Expert by the European Sleep Research Society. Additionally, she serves as Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Medicine of the Catholic University of Portugal and coordinates advanced academic programs in Sleep Medicine. Dr. Feliciano has further expanded her expertise through postgraduate training in Aesthetic Medicine at the University of Alcalá in Spain, along with advanced international certifications in aesthetic techniques including toxin-based treatments, thread lifting, body contouring, mesotherapy, carboxytherapy, chemical peels, and microneedling.
