Orlando Cabral Barreto has a degree in medicine and surgery from the Faculty of Medicine of Lisbon. Started the specialty of plastic surgery at the Hospital of Santa Maria, Lisbon. Complemented his training in the United States of North America, the John Sealy Hospital at the University of Texas at Galveston, where he acquired extensive experience in the treatment of burn patients. Upon returning from the USA, the District Hospital began monthly visits Funchal where it assists patients on plastic surgery forum who previously had to travel to Lisbon, and thus creates conditions for the development of this specialty in Madeira. During the year 2000, just a master's degree in bioethics (curricular part) by the Faculty of Medicine Lisbon.
