Dujmović

Dr. sc. Anto Dujmović is a specialist in plastic, reconstructive, and aesthetic surgery at the Department of Plastic-Reconstructive Surgery and Breast Surgery of the University Hospital Centre Zagreb. He graduated from the University of Zagreb Faculty of Medicine in 2003. He passed his specialist exam in general surgery in 2010 with honors and completed his subspecialist qualification in plastic, reconstructive, and aesthetic surgery in 2014 with excellent results. In 2017, he earned his PhD in Biomedicine and Health from the postgraduate doctoral program at the University of Zagreb, with a dissertation titled “The influence of aesthetic outcomes of breast-conserving cancer surgery on quality of life and the occurrence of depressive symptoms.” Since 2017, Dr. Dujmović has served as an assistant at the Department of Surgery, Faculty of Medicine, University of Zagreb, and was promoted to assistant professor in 2023. His academic career is complemented by extensive international training, including subspecialist education at the University of Ljubljana Medical Centre in plastic and aesthetic surgery, as well as training in hand surgery at Copenhagen University Hospital Gentofte. He has further advanced his expertise through workshops and courses across Europe, including in Paris, Vienna, Budapest, Athens, Belgrade, Bologna, Rome, Brno, Krakow, Ljubljana, and Zagreb. In 2015, he was awarded an ESPRAS fellowship by the European Society of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery, during which he trained at University Hospital RWTH Aachen under the mentorship of Prof. Norbert Pallua. Dr. Dujmović is the author and co-author of numerous scientific publications, including six indexed in Current Contents, and is actively involved in research and academic development. He is a member of the Croatian Society for Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery, the Croatian Surgical Society, and several international professional organizations. His work integrates clinical excellence, academic research, and continuous professional development to provide advanced, evidence-based care in plastic and aesthetic surgery.

Professor Mirna is a specialist in dermatovenerology and dermatopathology with extensive clinical, academic, and research experience in skin diseases and dermatological oncology. She completed her primary and secondary education in Zagreb before enrolling at the University of Zagreb Faculty of Medicine. Following her medical internship, she worked as a research assistant at the Department of Pathology of Merkur University Hospital. In 2002, she began her specialization in dermatovenerology at the Clinic for Dermatovenerology of the University Hospital Centre Zagreb, where she continues to practice. After completing her specialization in dermatology, she further specialized in general pathology at the Department of Pathology of KBC Zagreb, developing advanced expertise in dermatopathology. In this field, she was appointed Head of the Dermatohistopathology Laboratory at the Clinic for Dermatovenerology, a position she continues to hold. Professor Mirna has further strengthened her international expertise through advanced training at leading institutions, including the University of California San Francisco, Dalhousie University, the Medical University of Graz, and the Charles University Faculty of Medicine in Pilsen. Since 2017, she has been a subspecialist in dermatological oncology, focusing on the diagnosis and management of skin cancers and complex dermatological conditions. She is the author of numerous scientific and professional publications and serves as a reviewer for international medical journals, contributing actively to academic advancement in dermatology and dermatopathology.

Dr. sc. Damir Halužan, MD is a specialist in vascular surgery at the Department of Vascular Surgery of the University Hospital Centre Zagreb. He earned his PhD in Biomedicine and Health through the postgraduate doctoral program at the University of Zagreb Faculty of Medicine. He also serves as an assistant in a cumulative position at the Department of Surgery, University of Zagreb, where he contributes to both clinical work and academic development in the field of vascular surgery. Dr. Halužan is actively involved in ongoing professional development, regularly participating in national and international congresses and advanced training courses. He has authored and co-authored numerous scientific papers and conference presentations focused on vascular surgery, contributing to the advancement of clinical knowledge and practice. His clinical expertise includes vascular ultrasound diagnostics and laser-based vascular procedures, reflecting his commitment to incorporating modern technologies into patient care. He is also a member of the vascular tissue explantation team at the University Hospital Centre Zagreb, where he participates in specialized surgical procedures. In addition to his clinical responsibilities, Dr. Halužan has played a leadership role in several research studies and is a member of multiple national and international professional vascular surgery societies, reflecting his dedication to both scientific progress and high-quality patient care.

Dr. Paula Podolski is a Croatian physician specializing in radiotherapy and oncology, with a strong clinical and academic focus on breast cancer treatment. She is currently the Head of the Breast Tumors Department at the University Hospital Centre Zagreb, where she is responsible for the diagnosis, treatment planning, and multidisciplinary management of breast cancer patients. Dr. Podolski has built an extensive scientific career, authoring more than 30 professional and scientific publications. Her research covers key areas in oncology, including chemotherapy, hormone therapy, brain metastases, and molecular biomarkers in breast cancer care. Through her work, she contributes to advancing both the understanding and treatment of breast cancer, with the aim of improving patient outcomes and quality of care.
