He studied medicine at UNSW as a Sam Cracknell Sport and Academic Scholar and was awarded Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2005 and Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic surgery.

He s a fully qualified plastic, reconstructive and cosmetic surgeon with the Royal Australian College of Surgeons and the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons. Dr. Fred Clarke studied at the University of Sydney, graduating from a Bachelor of Science with Honours and completing his medical training in 2000 before working at multiple hospitals across the state as a surgeon. His commitment to serving his community led him to volunteer to work at various rural hospitals and as a result he has developed a very broad surgical experience. He started his own journey to become a plastic surgeon after graduating with honours from medical school at the University of Sydney. He then spent nine years training to be a plastic surgeon in the busy teaching hospitals of metropolitan Sydney. During this time he completed a masters of surgery, once again through the University of Sydney, focusing his research interests in the field of plastic surgery. Having completed the rigorous fellowship examinations with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, he spent another two years working in Europe, acquiring further knowledge and perfecting skills in cosmetic and reconstructive breast surgery. In London he worked at the Royal Marsden Hospital in South Kensington, performing microsurgery for breast reconstruction with some of the most esteemed plastic surgeons in the UK.
