Many patients find that orthodontic treatment contributesto both their mental and physical well being.

At GDC, our specialist dentists and dental staff can helpyou achieve the smile you have always dreamed of by GDC's Total Smile Concept(TSC) which is a new technique, of which we are its innovators, beingimplemented by GDC to provide our valued clients with the most perfect smile ever.

When you think of a beautiful smile, you probably focuson smooth, white TEETH that look healthy, but most people don't realize theimportant role good looking GUMS and LIPS play in a dazzling smile.

TEETH

There are many factors that contribute to the creation ofa Beautiful smile such as color, shape and position of teeth which can beattained using many cosmetic procedures such as: whitening, veneers, orthodontics, and implants.

LIPS

In the perfect smile, the upper lip plays an importantrole where it sits just above the top of the teeth. A GUMMY SMILE, however, exposes a larger than average amount of gum tissue when smiling and has anoticeably disproportionate gum-to-tooth ratio.

[Treatment name removed] is one of the simple procedures used to repositionyour lips to cover overexposed gums.

GUMS

Many people are dissatisfied with their dark gums or gumswith splotchy dark patches and find the discoloration to be very unappealingand detracting from their smile. Usually this condition is a cosmetic issue andnot necessarily a sign of a dental health problem.

Gum bleaching can remove or enhance the appearance ofdark blotches and create pleasant looking pink gums.

Immediate Implant Placement

In cases of a failed upper front tooth In the past wewould have had to wait months after extracting the tooth before putting theimplant in, and then a few more months of waiting before the implant could havea tooth added to it. Now with Immediate Implant techniques we can often bypassthis waiting time meaning that you can literally come to the clinic with afailed tooth and leave a short while later with your new implant tooth inplace.

Dental Sealant
The pits and fissures are the main sites of caries activity in the child and adolescent, that’s why it should be sealed.
A sealant is a white material that, when applied to the chewing surface of a tooth, bonds into the grooves of the tooth to act as a barrier, protecting the enamel from plaque and acids. It is applied to the back teeth (premolars and molars) where decay occurs most often. Sealant could be applied for both primary and permanent teeth, from ages 3 and above.
Does the process Hurt?
Sealants are easily and painlessly applied. It only takes a few minutes to seal each tooth. As long as the sealant remains intact, the sealed tooth surface will be protected from decay. Sealants hold up well under the force of normal chewing and usually last several years. During your regular dental visits, your dentist will check the condition of the sealants and reapply them if necessary.

GTR - Guided Tissue Regeneration
As a surgical instrument, the laser makes extremely accurate, bloodless soft tissue cuts. Most patients report a substantial reduction in post-operative pain. The virtual elimination of bleeding during surgery gives the dentist a clear view of the operating field and reduces the risk of infection for the patient. This enhances healing greatly, speeding up recovery for the patient. One of theses commonly used surgical procedures is coverage of exposed roots.

Gum Surgery
The diode laser is being used a great deal to cosmetically reshape the architecture of the gums. In many cases we are able to remove portions of tissue that are covering up healthy tooth structure, thereby lengthening the teeth. In other cases, the laser is used to create symmetry, balancing gum tissues that are visually crooked and not level with the horizontal plane. Dental lasers can also reshape gum tissue to expose healthy tooth structure and improve the appearance of a gummy smile.

Gingival Flap Surgery
The ability of the laser to kill bacteria in periodontal pockets and rid those pockets of sick and infected tissue has enormous potential, not only as a means of arresting the progression of periodontal disease, but as a fast and simple prophylactic.
